Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 2nd day of August, 2017.

After a raining Tuesday – forecast is for sunny skies.

The next few days are to be lower twenties which will be nice.

The temperature has fallen substantially for Friday as was supposed to be 29, now 23.

You never know ….. weather changes frequently.

Alvin and I enjoyed our walk last night – just the two of us.

Not many people out walking.

Just a couple more sleeps and three days to work until VACATION.

I am so excited to have TWO WEEKS off ……

Time to relax, reflect and ENJOY my company.

Alvin is excited to see everyone ……

I am hoping that shortly I will have some tomatoes to eat from my plant.

It has grown so big.

My first tomatoes …….

Flowers, most especially the Snap Dragons are growing my mad.

The colours are so pretty ….. hues of yellow, pinks, purples and corals.

We love sitting on the patio admiring the beautiful flowers and gazing up into the sky.

Well time to get this show on the road.

Have a wonderful day.

Remember to take some time to breathe …. just sit, close your eyes and breathe.

Special Hello to:  my sister ….. soon …..

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 1st day of August, 2017.

Guess it is time to turn the page on the calendar and the countdown has really begun.

August 1st here we go.

Just a few sleeps now until vacation and my sister arrives.

The sunrise was amazing this morning.

The sky was filled with yellows, oranges and pinks all mottled together.

Now the sky has filled with deep blue clouds, perhaps rain?

Last night on our walk we saw our friend “P” out in her beautiful garden.

She invited us in or rather Alvin strong pawed his way inside.

He loves her and always checks as we walk by to see if she is in the yard.

Mr. Alvin was happy to see her and even more happy when she gave him some treats.

We had a lovely visit and were joined by one of her neighbours that I have met before ……

She had brought over “cherries” that she grows here in Alberta.

I did not believe her.

Cherries in Alberta.

But I guess why not.

Not quite the same as B.C. cherries as they are more red and a bit tart.

But delicious.

In honour of my birthday (because P spilled the beans) – she went back to her house and grabbed me a container of cherries.

She always brought back some raspberries that she had grown for P but somehow I managed to get them.

Lucky girl.

Well after a wonderful visit, more treats for Alvin and some plants later …. we were home.

It was 7:00 p.m. ( we had left the house at 5:40 p.m.) – late supper.

My friends both have beautiful flowers and gardens.

Lucky me.

I was proud to tell P of how well the flowers are doing that she had given me a few months ago.

Time to get this show on the road.

Work call….

Special Hello to: friends ….. Love you all ……

Always, Carol & Alvin
