Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 23rd day of July, 2018.

The sky is overcast with deep blue rain clouds.

You can see the odd patch of pale blue sky to the east.

Alvin is on his little blue blanket beside me as I write this post.

He asked for a massage this morning.

I think that it is funny/strange how this all started.

He just sat beside me and placed his paw up which is his way of “asking nice.”

He figured out how to ask me for my help.

One week from tomorrow the COMPANY arrives.

YAY, my sister is coming.

She will spend a few days with us before my niece-in-law and great nephews arrive for a couple of days.

Always great to have company.

Soon I shall be on vacation.

YAY, feels like forever since I have been on vacation.

Yesterday was a great day.

We did some chores around the house and was just making pancakes when the phone rang.

My daughter called to say that she was going to come over for a visit.

Perfection.

I love making pancakes for Sunday morning company.

They turned out to be some of the best ones yet.

My daughter and baby Milo (the little grand-pup) arrived just as I was finished making the pancakes (they were keeping warm in the oven) and cleaning up.

Always a good thing as then I could concentrate on our visit.

We had a good visit along with good food.

After breakfast/brunch I borrowed her car and went to the grocery store for a few items.

Alvin had some quality time with his big sis and baby Milo.

After they left for home we just had a quiet day.

It is nice to be able to take a deep breath and relax.

Close your eyes.

Think of something or someone wonderful OR perhaps quiet your mind and think of nothing at all.

That was the beginning of our afternoon.

Eyes closed.

Then a clink clink clink ….

Eyes opened.

Raindrops hitting the windows.

Each second the rain came down harder and harder.

Lasting only a few minutes.

Glorious sunshine arrived.

Rainbow in the sky.

Eyes closed.

Deep breath.

Thank you.

Have a wonderful Monday.

Take time for yourself.

Be kind to yourself and to all others whether two-legged or four, winged or crawling.

All life is precious.

Happy Monday.

Special Hello to: THE WORLD

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 15th day of June, 2018.

How about Friday photos?

My life in photos ….. last night.

After the rain …..

The grass was glistening …

The flowers standing proud and tall ….

A rainbow …..

Favourite items ….

Most favourite guy …. me, Alvin ….

I cannot help but smile when I see the bright colour checks reflecting from the sunshine to the MOSIAC to the wall.

The biggest smile is on my face as I take the photos of Mr. Alvin with that chew treat dangling from his mouth.

Looking so somber …..

Gotta love my boy …. what a cutie …..

Thank you Alvin ……

At 4:08 a.m. this morning we were first up and there was one lone bird in the back yard or close by that was singing up a storm.

Sounded so beautiful.

Hopefully the birdie was okay.

Special Hello to: my daughter and family …… thank you guys for your love and support.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 14th day of September, 2016.

Still dark out but during the first part of my bus ride to work the sun begins to rise.

Yesterday morning it was the most glorious rainbow of oranges and pinks and yellows.

Breathtaking.

One of the things that I love to do on my bus rides is this little game.

Kind of perks me up and gets my brain working.

I find a word and see how many words I can make.

Example:  Edmonton

ton

one

on

to

too

mode

tone

moo

moon

met

toe

Well unfortunately I have to fly ….. running a tad late.

I hope that you will have some fun trying out this word game.

It is fun and a good way to begin your day.

Special Hello to: my friends “M” and “V” back in Saskatchewan …..

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 26th day of August, 2016.

Yes, Alvin it really is Friday.

I am sure by now most people are wondering if it really is true.

I was so certain that Wednesday was Thursday so added an extra day to my week.

Maybe not physically but mentally.

After all it is the mental condition that drives everything.

How you feel, if you can feel, what to do or not to do, to be or not to be.

Yes, of course physicality plays a role but the old adage “mind over matter,” holds true forever.

Until we evolve into something totally different it will always be mental over physical.

It is the way that people get through horrible physical tragedy.

Okay perhaps this is getting just a tad serious and it started out just talking about it being Friday.

Man, can I ever stray from the path.

I am always happy for the weekends but not because I do not like my job but because I get to spend more time with Alvin.

He is my sunshine for sure.

Not to leave out my amazing daughter or my great son-in-law or my grand-puppy Elton they are my never ending rainbow.

Speaking of rainbows last night when we were out for a walk we bumped into a lady walking with her dog.

We found out in about ten seconds his name was Noah and he was cute.

An older boy ….. the boys got along ….. Alvin and Noah…..there were a few barks ….. lots of sniffing.

The lady was smitten with Alvin.

She thought he was the cutest …… so I made sure that I gave Noah lots of compliments, fair is fair.

Well we continued to chat and walk.

We ended up walking in the rain …. just a nice rain not downpour.

A rainbow came out.

We both remarked.

After we parted ways and on our direct path to our house we saw the beginning and ending of the rainbow it was crystal clear.

The first one that I have seen all summer that I saw the start and end.

So beautiful..

Oh, I hear the geese honking away.

Well Mr. Alvin needs to go outside and I need to grab my Quinoa salad that I made for our office potluck.

I hope that you have an amazing day.

Happy Friday.

Special Hello to: all my family and friends, you rock.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 8th day of December, 2013.

IT’s Christmas …..

I am listening to Blake Shelton’s Christmas Album that I got a year or two ago.

It is so great.

My daughter just came for “tea” before she drives me to work.

I am such a lucky Momma.

I always look forward to Sundays when she comes for “tea” or “coffee” ……

We have a little visit and share our week.

So on this wonderful Sunday I wish you a rainbow.

If you are out shopping – have fun and try not to stress.

A gift from the heart means more than one from the store.

Have a great day…..

Special Hello to: my family …

Always, Carol and Alvin

Take Care ……

Thought for the day…….

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday, December 4th, 2012.

Did you see the moon this morning?

From my back door it was beaming brightly on this clear Edmonton morning.

I love looking at the sky ….. whether it be in the early morning, throughout the afternoon or late at night.

All the colours and shapes that the sky brings us is absolutely breathtaking.

It is truly a wonder.

I love sunrise and sunset.

I love the clouds on a rainy day followed by a rainbow or two.

I love the stars that twinkle on a clear night.

There are so many reasons to look up and be in awe.

I am so blessed that I have eyes to behold the SKY and all that it holds.

Take a couple of minutes throughout your busy day and look up ….. take a deep breathe and just “look”.

I am so grateful to be able to look up.

Have a great day everyone.

Special Hello to: ¬†STAR GAZERS ……

Always, Carol and Alvin
