The New YEAR 2022

Good Morning ALL! How are you this Sunday morning? Alvin and I are doing great. We had a good sleep including an early start, but that is okay. The sky is that glorious hue of blue and the sun is casting its’ beams off any objects it touches. What a beautiful morning. Al and I have had a glorious weekend despite the rather late start to the day yesterday. I only had one load of laundry to do as I had done laundry on my last day of vacation. Bonus points. After coffee and breakfast and the laundry was washed and dried, Mr. Alvin and I headed out for a walk. I only needed a sweater as it was so beautiful and I took Alvin’s water bottle/dish as well. It was so nice. We saw friends Norbert and Irene out giving some TLC to their lawn and stopped to have a little visit. Alvin loves their yard. While we were visiting another person and her pup walked by, we said hello. Sunny, her pup immediately rolled about on the freshly mowed grass. He was covered in dry grass but looked so happy. His Mom just smiled. There was also a brief conversation with a couple of men, who were having a conversation out front of a house on our way to the park. Everyone was outside and everyone was happy to chat and say hello.

We took our time as we continued walking to the park and once inside, I just let Alvin take the lead and allowed him time to sniff to his heart’s content. I just breathed in the fresh air which actually spelled like spring. We continued on our walk until we spotted a friend out in her yard raking the grass. She noticed us and walked toward us remaining in her yard as we walked to her. We had a long conversation over the fence. I had not seen her for awhile. I always love speaking to Lucy. Alvin sat on the grass and watched other people and their dogs going by, he didn’t flinch, just sat like the good boy that he is. Lucy and I spoke about so many things. Work, her homeland China, the environment, pollution, weather, gardening, people, and more. We had been chatting for likely well over thirty minutes when I happened to turn my head to see another friend out for a walk. I was surprised to see her. It was time for us to keep walking so I said good-bye to Lucy and joined my friend Gillian on her walk. Alvin really had a long walk but I figured with the break in walking he should be okay. We had a good chat on our walk and Gillian walked us home and then was going to head out for another lap. When I got home I saw that we had been gone for almost two hours. WOW. I felt like a million dollars. Refreshed and energized. What a time we had! Once home, I did a few things which included sweeping the floor, moving the IKEA shelves to a different angle in the kitchen, watered plants, finished a necklace that I had been working on, almost finished it anyway. At supper instead of cooking a pasta dish I decided to just have pizza again with a bunch of raw veggies. In between it all I gave Mr. Alvin his supper. What a great day even though we had such a late start. I think being outside was just what the Doctor ordered. After supper I watched an interview on NETFLIX with Oprah and Viola Davis. I was surprised and enthralled by her story. There were several things that we have in common and not her Tony or Academy award wins. She has a beautiful smile and I was sad to hear that people had told her that she was ugly. She is not. It was a great interview. Perfect timing. Then I decided to rent a movie from TELUS ON DEMAND. I couldn’t decide which one and then saw a new movie with Liam Neeson. I love him and decided that from the preview it looked good, so I paid the $7.00 and continued. The movie was called “BLACKLIGHT” and it was really good. A good story. Aidan Quinn was also in the movie and I have also liked him. A good night.

Now for today. My friend Gillian will be here in about one hour for coffee and instructions for looking after Mr. Alvin as I have to go to the office on Tuesday. This afternoon my daughter is coming for a visit. So much company and visiting this weekend and clearly just what was needed. I will be making the pasta dish for supper tonight and setting up my workspace in the kitchen after supper cleanup.

I hope that you have a great Sunday. If you have the opportunity or perhaps make the time to GO OUTSIDE. Say hello to people. Enjoy the sunshine. I hope that the sun is shining wherever you are and that you are well.

I am grateful for the sunshine, warm temperatures and family and friends and for good health and for Mr. Alvin. Grateful for life and for spring. Renewal.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus and possibilities.

Always, Carol & Alvin

P.S. life is good!

The New YEAR 2022

Good Morning ALL! Welcome to Sunday, April 10, 2022. I hope that this finds you well. We were up early and then back to the sofa until later. Seems funny that we were up and about at 6:00 a.m. yesterday morning and much later up to stay up this morning. I am not feeling guilty that is for sure. Sometimes you just need to do what feels right in the moment. At those moments one was getting up early and the other was not. It is WINDY. I am not sure what makes it so WINDY in certain places over others. But now that it is almost dried up out front and in the backyard I would most certainly love it to be calm. Yesterday we didn’t go for a walk because it was so windy – you could not walk without eating dust and getting dirt in your eyes. Then thinking about poor Alvin who was even closer to the ground. Thankfully last week we walked twice each day. It was windy then but not as bad as yesterday. Unfortunately by the wind the wind subsided it was after 8:00 p.m. and starting to get dark and we will not walk then. It is bright and sunny this morning. Hopefully by mid afternoon and I get all of my chores done it will be good for a walk. Fingers crossed. Keeping that in mind, calm and enjoyable for a walk, calm and enjoyable for a walk, calm and enjoyable for a walk …..

We had a good day yesterday. I even repotted some plants. I had to say goodbye to my poinsettia plants. They were kind of spindly and not doing super great. I find it hard to throw out living things like plants. They were alive and I mourn their loss. But I needed to do that. I had some other plants that had outgrown their pots so they were repotted. Cleaned up my plants and they all look so good. Getting ready for spring. Once the temperatures are consistently warm and do not freeze overnight – I shall take out my geraniums and put them on the deck. I am still trying to get things sorted out with getting flowers and vegetables. It is too late to start anything from seed so I shall have to see what plants I can buy that have been started and that would mean getting to a nursery. Hopefully that will happen when the time is right. I would love to have a few vegetables and herbs on the deck. With my grandpups coming to stay for a week coming this Wednesday and now that the backyard is pretty much free from ice, I want to rake up the many leaves that have blown from elsewhere. I spent so much time raking last fall and only to have so many leaves from other neighbour’s yards that did not rake. This coming up week is not to be too warm, in fact, the temperatures appear to be just over the minus celsius mark. Not much fun but at least it is dry. I will be going for many walks with the three pups. I can only walk Aspen by herself and then take Alvin and Milo together. Another reason for taking vacation days. Plus I really need a break from the chaos, I call my job. I was also thinking that I may move my workstation back downstairs and perhaps I may do that today. Will see how things go. Lots to do.

I did get lots of things accomplished yesterday with the exception of cleaning so that is on the plate for today. Now it is late and I need to pop into the shower although likely would be better to wait until tomorrow. Will have to think about that …… or maybe before bed.

I need that hit of caffeine this morning for sure. Coffee is ready but not plugged in just yet as I wasn’t sure how long before I was ready to drink some and don’t like it to sit for too long. Always better to drink freshly brewed coffee.

You know the more I toss around moving the workstation back downstairs for tomorrow, the more I like it. Time will tell.

Okay, time to get going here. There be floors to clean and bathrooms and more.

Happy Sunday Everyone.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus and possibillities.

Always, Carol & Alvin

P.S. we had a change of venue for coffee as one of the girls woke up with a bad cold yesterday morning. My other friend then asked me over. It was nice to have a visit with at least one of the girls.

2021

Good Morning ALL! I hope that you are having an excellent weekend! Mine has been pretty great thus far. Yesterday I did several loads of laundry, decorated our Christmas Tree and the house and some cleaning in between, raked the front and back lawns, and we went for a nice long walk. It was so nice out yesterday. Will be a bit cooler today but in the grand scheme of things still pretty nice outside for this time of year. We had the time change last night. Alvin woke up at his usual 3:00 a.m. which was actually 2:00 a.m. and every hour or less until we were up to stay at 7:30 the new time. Our clocks changed at 2:00 a.m. last night/early morning. So I am feeling a bit on the “tired” side but not too much considering the up and down to the sofa for all those hours, lol. What a guy that Alvin is? I sure hope that it does not happen tonight although I guess I won’t be comparing the time, it will be what it is. My clocks are all changed and thankfully my phone is “smart” and automatically changes itself. The sky is overcast this morning but I can see hues of orange on the horizon to the south. Today will be mainly about Mr. Alvin as it is time for a haircut and bath. I have to bring up the laundry that is hanging to dry in the basement ( I hang most of my clothing and unmentionables, lol), then have coffee and breakfast and then look after Mr. Alvin. We will walk mid afternoon as it is warmest then. I am going to bake a rhubarb crisp which will be dessert for basically the week. Thanks to my cousin and one of my neighbours.

I will share photos of our Christmas decorations and bear in mind that even though I decorated yesterday since the photos were snapped, I have made some changes. For example: I decided to move the shelving unit/plant stand in the kitchen from under the bay window to on an angle by the window on the left side looking out. I am not sure if this will work when I set up my workstation but thought it was worth a try. There have been other subtle changes but that is okay. Also I only used 2/3 of my Christmas decorations and 1/2 of my ornaments for the tree. Decided to be a bit more minimalistic this time around but not sure if that is really noticeable, lol. Oh well. Oh, forgot to mention that I went for mainly a white/silver theme tree this year. There are only a couple of ornaments that do not fall into that colour scheme. Nice change.

The top of the tree remains a work in progress. I will likely change around the ornaments on the tree from time to time until I finally stop. I decorated more in my bedroom that ever before. That is the blue dresser you see in the photos and the chair. Even the bathrooms were decorated and that is changing again as I have a Christmas scene that I did not hang up and it will replace my DREAM painting which is in main upstairs bathroom. The family room in the basement has a little tree and some ornaments up. I still have to pack away all of the upstairs ornaments etc. that I carried downstairs to be out of the way. Lots of work left to do. Anyway this is what I was busy at between Friday night and last night.

I hope that you have a lovely Sunday.

Happy Sunday to my Sister.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, understanding, love, laughter and gratitude.

2021

Good Morning ALL! How are you doing this Sunday morning? Both Al and I are fine and happy to have had a great night sleep. Bed in good time and up at 3:45 which is great and then I managed to coax him to stay on the sofa until later and that ended up being 6:20 a.m.. Of course, he had his breakfast then and we headed back to the sofa because why in the world would someone get up at 6:20 on a Sunday morning when they did not have to? Why? I suppose to enjoy the quietness of the early morning. But not this gal. I had done all the chores that I had planned and even a couple of more things yesterday so today will be chilling and we might have a visit from my daughter/Alvin’s sister. She mentioned about coming by today. That would be great. We love our visits. Yesterday was great. First thing after breakfast yesterday morning I gave Mr. Alvin a haircut. For some unknown reason it went faster and I was done his hair cut in 1.5 hours (a new record) and then gave him a bath.

I used my new Bissell Crosswave to clean the main floor and the upstairs including the area rug in my bedroom and the carpet/rug in the hallway. One thing it not easy to do steps with, just saying. Next time I will be cleaning the carpet in the basement family room. I might have to borrow a hand held cleaner from someone to do the steps. I did them but not as well as I would have liked to. After doing a couple loads of laundry and as the weather seemed to be nice, I decided to go for a walk with Mr. Alvin. We were just at the park entrance when I noticed in the distance a dog and his owner that we have have got to know over the winter/spring. I had not seem them in a while so we started to walk toward them which happens to be the more direct route to Master Teddy’s house. Well Alvin caught on to my oversight and after we humans chatted for a minute or two we were on our way to Teddy’s house. Alvin literally dragged me there. I was thinking all the way that I had work to do at home and that I don’t like to just drop in but we did. He did drag me there making the turn onto their street and right up the driveway. I rang the doorbell and he was just going to bark when our friend opened the door with a happy greeting for these friends who always show up unplanned. She is the most gracious person on the planet for unexpected visitors. I apologized as I always do and I meant the apologies. I love visiting with them and like to advise when we are coming which I do when it is planned but Alvin always has other ideas. So into the house we went. I had tea while Alvin “visited” which for him is checking to see if there is any food left out. Teddy and Kobi are always happy to see us as well. My friend’s husband came downstairs to say hello. We always practice social distancing and be careful in these covid times. I do not see many folks in person. Any visits these days are all done with social distancing and being mindful. I have friends that are my age and some that are younger. We all are cognizant of the restrictions and of being careful during these times for each other. Once back home, I grabbed the rake from the garage and a bag for the leaves and went out to rake the front lawn. Yes, I had done this a couple of weeks ago but it really needed it again. The last time it was windy and two hours later it snowed. I just read on the weather report that we are to have snow showers. ARGH. After the front was done, I cleaned out the basement window well. It was filled with leaves. Not to the top of course but there again was a heavy bed of leaves. I had pulled out the garbage that had blown in there the last time I raked but decided this was a good time to dig out the leaves. Actually some had been there obviously for awhile as they were composting. I had taken my handy dandy garbage picker upper from the front porch through the house with the rake and then out to the back where I opened the gate. I grabbed the bag of leaves that I had raked from the front and had thrown over the back gate, opening the gate; I went to work pulling out dark clumps of dead leaves until I had it pretty much down to the rocks that line the window well. Then I took the almost full bag of leaves inside the gate, closed the gate and went to work raking the backyard again. I have raked the back several times and the grass is beginning to turn green. Finally have all the leaves picked up. I hope that no more blow in back there from other neighbours yards. I don’t even have a tree in my backyard. Anyway all raked and looks great for that “snow shower.” Once done with the yard work, I gave Mr. Alvin his supper and then headed to the basement to start some more laundry. After that, I cleaned the toilets and did some dusting before deciding to order pizza from my favorite pizza place “Royal Pizza.” I decided that while it is expensive compared to picking up groceries that may last longer – it was a well deserved treat. So that is what I did. I also chopped some vegetables which is my favourite thing to have with pizza. I cleaned and chopped some carrots, red peppers, broccoli and cauliflower. Supper was divine. So good. After supper and cleanup and back and forth doing laundry. I decided to watch a movie or two. After watching some familiar ones I decided to watch a recent movie, one that was nominated for an Academy Award tonight and that was “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.” I definitely see why Viola Davis and Chadwick Boseman were nominated for awards. I hope that they both win. That was my Saturday night.

I am sitting at the computer with my charcoal mask on (multi-tasking) while Mr. Alvin is sitting in the hallway just staring at me. Not sure if he is checking out the charcoal mask or if he is trying to get my attention. Anyway time to get this mask off and get dressed and get this day really going.

Wishing you a great day. Also something to mention. While we were chatting at our friend’s house yesterday – I mentioned about having the furnace vents etc cleaned and he said that he was going to as well but would do so in the fall just before winter. He said if you clean them in the spring before the summer (when there is dust/dirt flying) they will just get dirty again. It has been a long time since I had this done but I will wait. The furnace will be off as soon as it warms up so I will wait. What great advice. I never thought of the dust/dirt of summer. Going point. Just wanted to share.

Continuing on this path we call life with kindness, respect, compassion and patience.

Have an awesome Sunday.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Living … One day at a time.

Hello, Welcome to Sunday the 13th day of October, 2019.

We had rain overnight but now the sky is beginning to clear.

Last year at Thanksgiving it was raining and I believe it turned to snow.

Argh, I surely don’t like to say that word before Halloween.

It would be so wonderful if it would remain “brown” until November.

Change of plans, Alvin’s friend Teddy is arriving this morning instead of for a sleepover.

He should arrive in 30 minutes or so.

Yesterday we had Humphrey over for a bit.

We enjoyed a beautiful walk but were sad to leave Humphrey here at home.

I decided to take my phone so that I could snap some photos and am happy that I did.

My family are planning to come for supper.

We are always happy to have them over.

Keeping this short this morning.

But I wanted to share some photos of our walk late yesterday afternoon.

It was so lovely.

I also raked the front lawn as it was covered with a thick blanket of leaves.

Also cleaned out the middle area that has stones as it was covered in leaves as well.

So many leaves.  I filled two big black garbage bags.

Alvin and Humphrey watched from the living room as I cleaned away.

Here are some of the shots from our walk yesterday.

In the park not too far from our house.

Alvin sniffing away.

The fountain still running.

Leaves covering most of the trees but so many different colours.

So beautiful.

One cute story to share from near the beginning of our walk yesterday.

We had just arrived at the park when a car slowed down and pulled over.

I realized it was some neighbours.

Mom and three small boys.

The boys were screaming with delight at the sight of Alvin.

The older boy was out of his seatbelt and trying to get his head out of the window.

Mom and I were trying to speak to each other but all I heard her say was “I can’t hear anything but ALVIN.”

The boys were all screaming his name.

It was at that exact second that I came to realize something.

“Alvin is a ROCK STAR.”

Everyone loves him.

Everyone knows his name.

The kids get so excited to see him and even some adults.

So I have a ROCK STAR living in the house.

Doesn’t get better than that ….

Unless he had the finances of a Rock Star …. but I am happy that he is so loved and adored.

Makes me proud.

Now I also realize something …. he does have that mindset of a celebrity.

Okay almost time for Teddy to arrive.

Time to get that coffee perking.

I need a cup.

Happy Sunday and if you are celebrating Thanksgiving on this day …..

Well Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Enjoy your day.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 20th day of October, 2018.

The sun is shining but not full on bright as of yet.

With promises to do so.

Most of the leaves have fallen now.

I can only see bare branches on the trees from my office window.

Out front is a different story.

My tree dropped her leaves a few weeks ago and I raked them.

Now leaves from neighbours have covered the lawn once again.

Perhaps it will be a good day to rake them.

Raking is good exercise.

This morning Alvin has his regular vet appointment.

Although this one is a couple of weeks later than usual due to Thanksgiving and the vet being away.

But he is okay.

Just nails and bum squeeze, the usual.

Last night the 10 year-old daughter of a friend spent the evening with Alvin and I.

I stopped on the way home and picked up groceries and caught a taxi home.

Yes, I did.

No longer am I going to stress myself out carrying heavy bags home.

It was great.

Anyway back to the story.

Sidetracked.

Sorry.

After I put away the groceries and got changed, our little friend came over.

Her Mom brought along “treats” of chips (my favourite and I don’t eat them much), popcorn and cinnamon buns (the good ones).

Yum but not yum.

After we said our good-byes we snagged Alvin got his harness and leash on and were on our way.

It was beautiful night but a little cool but comfortable.

She wanted to go to her school park and show me her “gymnastic routine.”

So off we went.

M wanted to hold Alvin’s leash and that she did.

She did really good.

We came across a few big dogs and some stayed at a distance and one we were up close and Alvin was okay.

He is still a bit nervous around larger dogs since the St. Bernard decided to join our garage sale when he was a puppy, a whole different story.

I watched her do her routine and play on the equipment.

Which was impressive.

I remember we had swings and a teeter totter.

It was almost dark by the time we got home and I was HUNGRY as I had not eaten much all day.

We filled our evening with a serious breath taking game of JENGA (she loves it, too).

I won.

Watched the movie ANT MAN.

Yes, ANT MAN, it would seem like I have lots in common with this 10 year old.

We were going to play CONNECT FOUR but her Mom got back before the movie ended.

It was so much fun.

I had forgotten.

Not too often it is me and a young one.

Alvin had his moments as even though he knows her and likes her – I think he misses having me all to himself.

Although M gave him lots of attention.

So that was our night.

Saturday, it is and I had better get this show on the road.

I do say that a lot, don’t I?

Oh well.

Have an awesome Saturday.

Time to go and finish getting laundry from upstairs (changed bedding already), get dressed and eat breakfast.

It will be time to leave for Al’s vet appointment.

I am grateful for the weekends.

Special Hello to:  all those folks who love weekends which would be ALL of us.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 3rd day of October, 2018.

Yesterday weather wise was glorious.

The sun shone most of the day.

There was a breeze but did not feel cold.

While I was waiting for my ride to arrive yesterday morning.

I was looking at my tree.

Thinking of how beautiful all the leaves looked as the odd one would come floating down to the ground.

This is what I came home to last night.

My beautiful tree ….. is now bare.

All of the leaves gone in a single day.

The largest pile of leaves that I have ever had from this tree.

Usually they come off in stages.

Usually I rake at least four or five times.

Not this year.

Oh, so pretty.

I see raking in my near future.

Yesterday Calgary and areas south of us received a huge amount of snow.

We, I am grateful that we still have bare ground although we did have a nice blanket of snow only a short time ago.

I am just plain grateful that the ground is bare, my snapdragons are still blooming and I have leaves to walk in and to rake, soon.

You never know what is going to happen with Mother Nature.

We did enjoy our walk last night stopping to chat with our friend “P.”

She had unexpected company or she would have joined us for a walk.

Well almost time to leave for work.

Wednesday already.

I hope that you enjoy this day.

I hope that if you have snow that it melts so that you can enjoy FALL for a bit longer.

I do not kid myself to think that winter will not arrive before fall ends.

Not here, not in Alberta and not in Canada.

Have an awesome day.

Read a book, make some tea, make some soup or perhaps stew and share with a friend.

Have a great day.

Special Hello to: my friend “V” who is always creating some wonderful dishes for friends, family and customers.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 21st day of October, 2017.

What a glorious morning!

Bright and Sunny.

There is a coolness to the air but throughout the day temperatures are to rise.

We are having a beautiful FALL season.

Yesterday my friend once again gave me a ride home and the day before it was my daughter.

So for the last two weeks I have been totally spoiled with rides home from work.

Reality next week will set in but it was a great ride for the last two weeks.

Feeling so special and grateful.

So as I look around my house I realize that I have not been doing much “cleaning” and it is time to get down to it.

Now my house is not FILTY or even really dirty but by my standards it needs that extra TLC.

This is the day ….. I feel like cleaning and that is when you accomplish the most.

So laundry, vacuum, bathrooms, floors, and all that inside side.

Also time to go through the closets and put away the summery items.

I have a tub of clothing that was given to me from a friend and I need to try things on to see what I will keep.

Drawers needs to be cleaned.

Lots to do.

Outside the leaves in the backyard need to be raked.

Over the past week or so it would see that all of the neighbourhood trees just shook their colours onto my tiny patch of grass.

Honestly you cannot see the grass for the leaves.

I do not have a tree in the backyard so it was not all me.

The leaves are all colours and my leaves were yellow from the front tree.

So we will do a careful raking of the leaves.

I say careful, just in case I missed some “poop” in amongst all of the leaves.

It does look so pretty …… a blanket of reds, oranges, yellows and even greens.

Lots to do but I am looking forward to getting busy.

Have an awesome Saturday.

Special Hello to:  my sister ….. promise SKYPE soon.  Let me know what works for you.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 22nd day of October, 2016.

It is about 8:44 a.m. here in Edmonton.

The sky is clear and the sun is coming up and is bright.

There is FROST.

The leaves on the front lawn are covered in frost and there remains a bit of snow on the edge of the lawn.

I plan to give the front lawn once last rake this weekend.

The forecast is for a nice day so let us hope the temperature rises.

This will be the fourth time that I have raked the leaves over the last few weeks.

Most of the leaves are from various neighbour’s trees ( I can tell from the colours ).

My leaves are always YELLOW.

This morning after it warms up a tad I plan to go on one last trash pickup in the neighbourhood.

The walkway that I take coming home after work from the bus is disgusting.

I cannot believe how many take out coffee cups and disposable food containers and bags are lying there on the ground and under the rose bushes.

Likely enough to fill a large garbage bag.

I am debating as to whether or not I can manage to do the whole area as the bags get heavy.

When I used to do the area that I have cleaned for years my daughter and my son-in-law lived about half way round so I could drop any full bags off

at their house.

Now that is not the case.

So a dilemma, I have.

I guess I will wait and see how strong I feel.

As things will be a bit wet from the heavy frost we shall see.

I am excited to get that cleaned.

Just wished that people would take more care.

Please just carry their trash home with them and dispose of it properly.

I guess I will put in yet another request to the neighbourhood association to please put in a trash barrel.

But then who looks after that …..

The City or the Association.

Somedays you cannot win.

Oh well.

It is great exercise and fun trying to keep away from the thorns of the roses bushes that line the walkway that I will be cleaning.

Thank goodness that I have one of those trash pickers….

Enough complaining, I apologize.

It is the weekend.

Time for toast with honey, share a banana with Mr. Alvin and have a cup of coffee before heading out.

I hope that you have an awesome day.

I wish you sunshine and laughter.

Enjoy the weekend.

Oh, tonight is the night that we set our clocks back.

Alvin has already done so.

Special Hello to: my sister …….

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day ……

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 16th day of October, 2016.

Grey skies out there this morning.

I believe they are forecasting more freezing rain over the next day or so.

Not a good thing.

Funny how dark skies makes everything feel so quiet and sunny skies are noisy.

I guess we do things differently on those days.

Going to be a quiet Sunday ….. finishing up some cleaning.

Work on my Steeped Tea business.

Just enjoy the day with my boy.

I am grateful to have some less hectic days.

The leaves are all off of my tree now.

Missed that final final raking but I guess a bit of leaf cover is not all bad.

Alvin is patiently waiting for me outside the office.

These days he is not liking walking on the laminate floors.

A sign of getting older.

Oh the joys.

Well I have to fly again …. always flying.

Have a great Sunday.

Take some time to relax.

Special Hello to: all my fellow bloggers ….

Always, Carol and Alvin
