Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 14th day of May, 2017.

Happy Happy Mother’s Day.

Yesterday after a long raining day the sun came out.

Now this morning it is partially overcast and windy but I can see the sun.

I wrote this on the fly on FB, as I wanted to wish all the Mothers  Happy Mother’s Day

My girl just called and they are coming over.

So happy to see them today.

Mothers come in all styles.

They may be yours by birth or they may not.

They may be rich or they may be poor.
They may be light or they may be heavy.

They may be yours, they may be mine.

They may stay at home or work away.
They may cook and clean or maybe hire another.
They may sew or maybe not.
They may bake or not.

But they are always your Mother.
They will always love you.
They will always care about your well-being.
Somedays it may not seem that way but in their hearts,
it is true.

I want to wish each and every Mother a very special day.
I hope that you are as blessed as me.

Just remember to be a Mom does not mean you must give birth to a child …… it is the love, care and attention that you give to another being that makes you a Mother.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 7th day of January, 2016.

The past couple of days I have been home sick and am going to work today.

Still not feeling 100% but have to get back to work.

 

How has the world been the past couple of days?

I know that shots were fired in my daughter’s neighbourhood the day before last.

They are okay – thank goodness.

 

This whole mixed up world.

What is happening?

Why are we where we are?

Is anyone asking this question?

Does anyone care?

Is it because of man’s never ending need to be the most powerful / the richest?

Is it because we cannot stand to see someone else with more than us?

Is it because we never completely found compassion for one another?

Is it because we are never satisfied?

The list of questions could go on and on and I have to go to work but perhaps you see my point.

 

I have always tried to be kind and 98% of the time successful, I believe.

Is this a male / female thing?

I do not know.

But something has to change before we destroy ourselves and this beautiful gem in the universe.

Just feeling a little sad this morning ….. perhaps because I am not at my best …. it has me in reflection mode.

But I hope that one by one we can see the light and change things before it is too late.

Please go out of your way to be kind …. to help each other …..

Forget thinking that someone else will stop and help that person in need ….. it has to be you.

You are that person….

You must stop.

If we continue to pass by …. then we will not have learned perhaps the most important lesson of all …..

Compassion for those in need.

To help each other ….. to have community.

Without compassion there is no love.

Without compassion there is no kindness.

Without compassion there is …..

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to a bright sunny Friday, the 6th day of June, 2014.

YAY.

We are happy, happy, happy for the sunshine this morning.

We have received lots of much appreciated rain that has moisturized the grass, trees, plants and the earth.

Now it is time for sunshine.

 

On this fantastic Friday I am getting ready for my friend “G” and kiddies to come for coffee visit.

One of the kiddies is her son and the other is a little girl that she looks after from her day home.

We are also celebrating her birthday which was last Saturday.

I wanted to have a cake and party for her as she is a great friend.

So cake is baked ….. just have to ice it and tidy up a bit.

Perhaps I can find a balloon or two….. I know there are some around here somewhere.

“Oh, Alvinnnnn …. where did you hide the balloons?  (He does not like balloons).

 

I am so happy to have this day off and to enjoy it being at home.

There is work tonight at the store and I am excited to see the girls again.

 

So on this bright and beautiful Friday I hope that you are living your best life and enjoying dreaming about the possibilities and bringing them one step closer to reality.

I always think of living a rich and abundant life filled with great health, surrounded by love and laughter, family and friends, living in my own house, having me Alvin here and my grand-puppies …. sounds like I am living my dream.

These are the most important ……

Well I had better go and ice that cake before Mr. Alvin gets in there to help ….. he loves icing cakes ….. you should see him in his apron!!!

Thought for the day…..

Well, Good Morning and Welcome to Friday, March 1st, 2013.

I usually do not write on my blog on my day off from the office but today is different.

As I look out my office window the sky is beginning to lighten with the sun starting to peek through the cloud cover.

I read a couple of my fellow blogger’s “blogs” …… we all have unique and wonderful stories and thoughts.

It is so great that we have this forum to share our lives.

We can learn and grow from all of this information and gain such incredible knowledge.

Thank you to everyone who reads my blogs – you make my day – you make my life so rich.

I am so grateful to have this day off and to tackle some of my “jobs”  before going to work at the store tonight.

As I listen to some of the songs that I purchased from the I TUNES store I am enriched by the words …. and the music.

Thank you to all those musicians ….. song writers …. our talent on this earth is so vast.

Thought for the day…..

Here we are ….. Friday, January 27th, 2012 …..

I am always amazed at how it seems we go from Monday to Friday in a blink of an eye.

I know that I have mentioned this on several occasions but it still amazes me.

Time is just one of those invisible forces ….. that continues no matter what.

It doesn’t matter if you are young or old, satisfied or not, happy or not, rich or not, whether you see the glass half-full or not ….. it continues.

It continues at a rate that long ago we determined in increments of seconds, minutes and hours … and so on.

Time is one of those things ….. I think about.

Not for lack of but just because it peaks my curiosity.

So what makes you think and be curious?

I hope that you have an amazing Friday ….

Perhaps a dream will come true today for you.

I hope that you find the time or time finds you.
