Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 8th day of December, 2016.

Countdown to Christmas Eve:  16 sleeps till Christmas Eve Day.

Yikes.

Is anyone out there thinking only 16 sleeps till Christmas?

I am excited and sad for this Christmas.

Excited to see how Milo reacts and sad that Elton and Penny will not be with us this Christmas.

It is the time of year when we experience extreme emotions.

There will always be sadness.

There will always be joy.

We just have to find the perfect mix ….. the best way to say more on the Joyful end.

 

Well I am happy er perhaps that is not the best choice of words, to report that the minus 25 degrees celsius is still here for another week.

I guess we got a bit used to the plus temperatures which were not norm for November.

Oh well – guess what ….. soon the days will begin to get longer and perhaps we will actually be home in the light.

I am so excited for our Christmas vacation.

We are so lucky that our office is closed over Christmas and New Year’s.

A chance for us to recharge, rejuvenate and be ready for another year.

YAY.

Excited for time with me Alvin.

 

Our office is also having a “cute pet photo” contest …. personally I believe that Mr. Alvin should win but other Mommas and Poppas may not agree with me.

That is okay.

Alvin is still going to win.

 

Well here it is time to leave for work…..argh…. I am so thankful that I have a warm coat, boots and all.

Today I also go for an eye exam and get new glasses.

I am excited for that.

Alvin has his annual shots today as well …. later on and his regular stuff.

It is a beautiful glorious morning here in Edmonton.

I turned on some music as I was getting ready and it has made me feel so wide awake and wonderful.

What a great way to start the day with some of your favourite songs playing in the background as you wash your face, comb your hair and slip into your clothes.

 

I have always loved a little bit of everything ….. a variety of music and artists.

Much the way I have lived my life with variety.

Always good to like a bit of everything.

I am 58 and I love “Disturbed’s” version of “The Sound of Silence.”

I am 58 and I love Andy Grammer’s, Honey I’m Good ….. makes me want to dance.

I am 58 and I love Meghan Trainor and John Legend.

I am 58 and I love Elvis and Gordon Lightfoot.

I am 58 and I love Tina Turner and Aerosmith.

I am 58 and I love Bing Crosby and Alicia Keys.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 19th day of August, 2015.

It is an absolutely gorgeous morning here in Edmonton.

I can tell by the temperature in the house that it is warmer this morning than the past few.

The sky is a pale blue with hints of a deeper blue and smudges of pink and orange.

I love the morning sky ….. reminds me of the tie dying days …..

The sun is coming up to shine down on us today.

How are you feeling today?

I feel great.

You know some mornings you just feel like you could conquer the world but in a nice way of course.

I know that today is going to bring some great news.

I am beyond happy.

I have a great life.

I am surrounded by friends and family.

I live with my good little buddy “Alvin” who keeps me centred.

I am blessed to meet friends every day …..

We always meet some new folks from our neighbourhood when we are out and about.

I love getting to know people.

If you are every feeling lonely or down in the dumps.

Try this …. if you have a doggie go for a walk.

You should be walking him or her anyway ….. but nevertheless, go.

If you do not have a doggie then go outside.

Walk down your street.

You must say Hello to everyone you meet.

I have started to say to people after our encounters “thank you for your time.”

It made me feel wonderful just saying the words.

I would love it if someone would acknowledge my time.

I believe we must be more kind and loving to everyone.

Be respectful of time and space.

Well time to go to work.

Alvin needs to go outside one more time.

I hope that you are surrounded by love and laughter.

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 5th day of December, 2014.

Another gorgeous morning here in Edmonton.

Only twenty days until Christmas Eve.

Can you believe it?

WOW.

I am excited to catch up on my television shows tomorrow while I am baking.

The day is planned.

Back to Friday …. well Mr. Alvin is laying on “our” bed grooming himself ……

He hears something outside and his head jerks up to look out.

Then as quickly as he is up …. he is laying back down …..

All of that cuteness is too much for me.

I feel the love for him deep down in my heart.

Embedded like diamonds in the rock ….

I am so grateful that I was able to adopt him and that he joined our family.

He is such a great addition.

January will mark five years with us…..

Last day of the week at the office …. working tonight at the store….. baking tomorrow and back to the store on Sunday.

I do especially love working Friday nights …… there is something about a Friday night.

Well I hear the rustling of my son-in-law so soon it shall be time to leave for work.

My daughter has the day off from work.

I hope that you have a most enjoyable Friday whether at home or at work.

If at home watch a Christmas show for me …… I have not had time as yet.

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 26th day of March, 2014.

I had a pleasant surprise this morning when I was writing in my journal (just after 5:00 a.m.).

While writing down the date I realized that yesterday I had written down Monday instead of Tuesday and that would make today WEDNESDAY.

Wow, that is one way to bring the weekend closer.

 

When Mr. Alvin went outside to do his morning ritual ….. I noticed that there is a very thick blanket of fresh WHITE snow on the deck.

Checking out the front window it is everywhere.

Looks like winter again.

They are forecasting plus temperatures in our near future so it will not last.

We always have to have one last storm in March ……

Mother Nature likes to tease.

She lets us wear our shoes for what, I think four days and now back to boots.

Oh well, we had the four, I am grateful.

Spring is just around the corner.

 

I also make a realization this morning …… full of pleasant thoughts and surprises today.

I have an ” iTunes” gift card that I got from the kids at Christmas and I have not used it yet.

So I will get to pick out some of my favourite new songs.

There are so many ….. I just have to remember the artists and the names of the songs or at least one of the two.  LOL.

I am less than perfect when it comes to remembering the names of singers and songs.

Perhaps you can tell me the name of this song:  sung by Miss Christina A and the guy from “GREAT BIG WORLD” …. I hope that I got that name correct.  I love that song so much.

It is truly one of the best duets ever.

Also I love the Happy song by the guy with the hat …. he’s so cute and that tall hat makes me smile ….. He has an unusual name …. I think it starts with a “P” …..

Those are a couple ……. I will have to scroll through the listing ….. YAY …..

 

Well I hope on this Tuesday/Wednesday kind of day …… that you are having the best morning or perhaps it is afternoon or evening where you are ….. but all the same I hope that it is the best day.

I have been reading the “Law of Attraction” as it never hurts to reread books.

Keeps you going forward and to remember.

No matter is going on in your life ….. it is you who truly are the “writer” of your story ….. only you can make things happen or not.

So let us make things happen …. realize those dreams.

We will work on them together …. compare notes and stuff.

Thought for the day….

Welcome to Thursday, January 10th, 2013

Woke up to a white blanket of snow covering the ground.

It started last night and seems to have continued throughout the night.

The temperature has dropped a bit as well and forecast for lower throughout the day.

You never know when winter arrives here …. what will happen.

There is one thing for sure and that is we will have snow.

Some years we only have a bit and others a “ton” ….

This is one of those years …. we have lots of snow.

Last night when I was out walking with Alvin we spotted a family out sledding by the lake near our house.

They were bundled up and having a blast.

So nice to see.

Well this is about it for today …. short and sweet.

Just wanted to touch base with all of you and to make sure that you are okay and enjoying life.

Time to finish getting ready for work.
