Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 26th day of November, 2015.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Neighbours …. have the best day.

It is actually quite nice outside this morning.

Supposed to be on a warming trend for the next few days including the weekend.

That is great.

Well I have unfortunate news ….. the rogue “guest” has finally made an appearance after November 11, 2015.

I have a trap that is not set in the bottom of the pantry.

There was peanut butter on it.

I thought that it was getting less and less and surely enough this morning it is all gone.

There are a couple traps set in the basement so hopefully we catch it.

I was starting to feel more at ease but with a cautionary ease.

I knew Mr. Alvin was sniffing something over the past couple of days.

I just wished that “mouse be gone.”

Go somewhere else, please.

I want to send hugs and prayers to my friends who had to put their cat down yesterday.

They had the cat for 15 years, I believe.

A member of the family.

Rest in peace, Pinkie…..

Well I guess I had better get this show on the road.

I wish everyone a happy and safe Thursday.

Remember to be kind and respectful to everyone.

Special Hello:  YOU.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 21st day of November, 2015.

So quiet this Saturday morning …. not many lights on as I gaze out of the office window.

It is about 7:45 a.m.

I love the stillness.

When Alvin and I were up earlier at 5:30 ( I managed to keep him in bed until then, then up, he had breakfast, and outside. ).

I have been putting on my coat and boots and going outside as well.

Good way to let me know what kind of weather I will be going out into later.

It is actually beautiful outside.

So we will have good weather for our day trip to Ponoka.

Alvin will be home and my neighbour will be with him.

Still no sign of the rogue you know who.

I have to check the basement …. I forget last night.

I spent over one hour going through photos picking out some to take to my nephew as I have heard that he loves his photos albums.

He has two soon to be three.

I spoke to his brother last night …. seems our boy is at a crossroads.

His mind is telling him he is better and he wants to go home but he is not ready.

The short term memory is playing havoc with his therapy.

He is doing exceptionally well considering the place from which he came but my no means is he ready to strike out on his own.

Last year for his birthday my daughter and I took him a birthday cake.

We are doing the same this year.

Last year he was in a coma and this year he is awake.

Progress for sure.

Well I should get this show on the road.

Have to get ready and have breakfast and finish putting the photos into the album, my poor fingers were so cracked from the dry air that I had to stop.

Have an awesome Saturday.

One thing to remember .. NEVER GIVE UP.

As long as your mind realizes there is hope …. there always will be.

Special Hello to: my sister, I will give him hugs and kisses from you …. talk to you later.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 20th day of November, 2015.

It is a beautiful morning outside.

Did you see my added note from yesterday?

About 30 minutes after I went out with Alvin it started to snow!!

I have started to go outside with Mr. Alvin now as once there is snow on the ground … always good to pick up the “poop”  …..

So now it is up at 5:00 a.m. and no going back to the sofa.

We have not done that since last Wednesday, Remembrance Day which is the day our “rouge friend” arrived.

I have only seen him when he ran out of the pantry when I opened the door.

Oh, well this is my life for a few more days … hopefully day is the day.

He was not “caught” this morning.

We had breakfast in the office again.

Which I am beginning to enjoy.

Strangely enough.

It is always amazing how change can hit out of the blue.

It is all about how you handle it.

I think in this case I am doing quite well.

So happy to have my partner in crime and protector of Momma, Mr. Alvin.

He does help me feel safe and not alone.

Don’t cry for me, Argentina as I did not mean that I feel “ALL ALONE.”

Just that he is here and is good company and I am not alone.

Some company is always good.

So how is your Friday thus far?

Mine is great.

I cannot believe it is Friday?

Where did the week go?

Where did the month go?

Wasn’t it just Halloween a couple of days ago?

I just put up my tree … yes, almost one month ago.

WOW.

Well time to go and hit the shower.

Doing things in reverse now.

Which is a nice change.

Good for Alvin, too.

We all get into a routine …. a rut.

Make small changes …. ones that you control always feel better.

Although the “visitor” was definitely not my choice …..  sort of laughing out loud.

I hope that you have an awesome, wonderful, amazing Friday filled with a bit of change, lots of laughter, and above all a loving environment.

Special Hello to: Hi Sister …. I am doing well.  We are going to see Johnny tomorrow….

Always, Carol and Alvin
