Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 29th day of March, 2019.

WOW, almost the end of March, 2019.

Crazy.

Our weather has been quite nice.

It was beautiful when Alvin and I went for a walk last night.

We took a longer walk and enjoyed it immensely.

Still getting muddy and thankfully I remembered to have a wet towel at the front door.

Need more exercise we do.

Alvin will be having a bath and hair cut this weekend, likely Sunday.

Master Teddy joins us tomorrow for the day.

Alvin sure perked up when I told him last night.

He will be happy to have him with us again.

I was wondering last night why Alvin wanted to be outside on the deck so much.

The reason.

Mr. Humphrey was out on his deck.

Humphrey was telling him quite the story.

Alvin sure loves his friends.

We are so lucky to be surrounded by lovely creatures four-legged and two.

I am debating on whether I should go to the grocery store at lunchtime or go after work.

About the same distance to carry and walk.

Maybe at noon a bit further but not much.

I am out of ideas for lunch and do not wish to have a sandwich again.

Out of vegetables.

So likely will trod on over at lunchtime.

I am nearing the end of my toothpaste and completely out of dish soap.

So decision at lunchtime or after work?

I am catching the bus as my carpool took the afternoon off …..

I guess by the time I have to take lunch – I will have made a decision.

ARGH.

Somedays.

You know if that is the hardest decision that I have to make today – I will consider myself more than lucky.

I see 3.3 million dollars in my future.

Sharing the Lotto Max Jackpot with 14 of my coworkers.

Perfect beginning to the weekend.

YAY.

Well perfect sight …. listening to Alvin breathing as he rests on his blue blanket.

Oh, how I love that guy.

Well I guess it is time to go.

Time to go to work.

Special Hello to:  all those folks who have a four-legged friend in their family.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 21st day of March, 2016.

The second day of spring 2016.

Alvin does not know it yet but in less than one half hour he will be having company to spend the day with him.

My daughter and son-in-law are bringing Mr. Elton over to spend the day with Alvin so they each have company.

He will be so excited.

I am excited as well.

Alvin continues to heal and honestly you would never know that they had “dental surgery” other than he is missing his cute little front teeth.

I do miss those little ones …..

Yesterday was a nice day …. Alvin and I circled our lake walking on the grass side all way round the water …. it was wonderful.

We even came across two full grown geese which did not intrigue Alvin for some reason.

My neighbours each separately had coffee with me …. one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

It was a nice treat to catch up and Alvin always loves their visits.

Back to work ….. oh how quickly the weekends fly by.

Do you ever have moments when you cannot think of what to have for lunches?

Oh, I surely do.

Today it is cheese, crackers, raw veggies and an orange.

I really have to stay away from the peanut butter sandwiches as I have had them pretty much every day of my life.

I do like them but bread does not work good for me.

I eat my leftovers for supper so do not want to eat them for lunch.

Any ideas?

I did boil some eggs a week or so ago and they were nice to have for lunch.

I need some lunch ideas???

Well almost time for our company to arrive so we best go and finish getting ready.

I hope that you have an awesome day.

From my house to yours …..

Special Hello to:  my cousin “J”  ….. yes, Alvin is doing so well and I am very grateful AND to my sister …. can we SKYPE on the EASTER weekend?

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 26th day of July, 2015.

It is a glorious perfect morning …. sun shining check ….. blue sky check ….. cool breeze check …..

Absolutely perfect.

My neighbour is taking me to Costco to pick up a few things, okay more than a few things.

So as on Sundays I am usually making pancakes at this time or some Sundays.

I wanted to share my “Chocolate Pancake Recipe” – what could be better than chocolate for breakfast.

“Carol’s Chocolate Pancake Recipe”

2 cups flour

6 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

2 eggs

2 cups milk ( I use coconut milk beverage – the one in a box)

2 tbsp white sugar

1 tbsp cocoa  ( make it a heaping tablespoon)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Simply mix ingredients together.  Pour pancakes onto a hot skillet.

Makes enough for two people and enough for leftovers for one for a week …

Best with butter and good old maple syrup.

***  Try taking two cold pancakes and spreading peanut butter on them.  Makes a good “sandwich” for lunch.

ENJOY.

Well time to go to Costco.  No pancakes today.

Let me know what you think.

Happy Sunday Everyone.

Special Hello to: my sister ….. soon …. Pooh, soon.

Always, Carol and Alvin
