Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 2nd day of September, 2017.

The sun is shining now as the sky begins to clear.

I was a “bad” girl and slept until just a few minutes ago which was close to 10:00 a.m.

Please bear in mind that I was up with Mr. Alvin at 4:30 a.m. so that he would eat and go outside.

Followed by 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. – so not a straight through sleep.

Sure nice to just be able to get up whenever …..

Now time to have a relaxing breakfast and enjoy a couple of cups of coffee before getting my chores done around the house.

I have been faithfully watering my friend’s flowers every night.

Alvin loves playing in her yard.

Last night another friend and her two small dogs joined us …. we were going to go on a walk together and I thought they could play in the yard while I watered the flowers.

Both of my friend’s dogs have gone through recent trauma so to be off leash with Alvin was a good thing.

On leash when we begin our walks they growl, lunge and snap at Alvin, who takes a step back and stays out of reach.

They are both chihuahuas.

So we had fun.

Today will be laundry, a few things around the house and outside as the forecast is for rain tomorrow.

On Monday in the earlier morning I am going to go and do a garbage/trash pickup in the neighbourhood in honour of LABOUR DAY.

So many people do not have the luxury of being at home on this day.

Well time to get going here.

Have an awesome Saturday.

Take the time on this long weekend to lend a hand to a senior, to someone in need or perhaps pick up the trash in your neighbourhood.

There is always someone or something that can be done.

Share your time.

Happy Saturday.

Special Hello to: my sister and brothers ….. thank you for a great time this summer.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 8th day of March, 2017.

Another brr COLD morning as was evident when I opened the back door to let Alvin outside.

Thank goodness he has a warm coat and boots so to speak.

Naturally of course.

When we walk at night – I add one of his jackets depending on the weather.

I would have tried booties with him but because of his “foot fetish” – likely not a great idea.

We enjoyed another brisk walk last night.

Which is good ….. short but fast.

I could feel my heart rate increasing.

This morning I have been thinking about the choices we make.

We make choices in every second of every day.

We decide whether to wear the black pants or the brown ones.

We decide whether to take an apple and peanut butter sandwich for lunch or to buy lunch.

We decide whether to send that email or not.

We decide whether we want to have a great day or not.

We decide whether to hold the door open for a senior.

We decide whether to write that story or not.

We decide whether to go for a walk or to vegetate on the sofa.

We decide so many things – coffee or tea.

Now some of these choices are not totally our own.

Some we make dependent on life or lifestyle.

Some people would prefer not to work but if you want a roof over your head and food in your belly – it is a must.

But you can certainly choose where you work.

For as many of the choices that we must make just to live our lives there are many more that we have more control over ….

So when you think that life is getting you down and that you have no choices.

Trust me you have plenty.

Start making the ones that will bring joy to your heart and a smile to your face.

Have an awesome Wednesday.

Make a choice today to smile at every person you encounter.

That will for sure bring some good energy your way.

Who knows maybe even that person you have been dreaming about …..

Just smile…

Time to get going …… the bus you know.

Public transportation.

Special Hello to: my family and friends ……

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Afternoon and Welcome to Saturday the 29th day of October, 2016.

Just back a few hours ago from spending two nights at my daughter and son-in-law’s home.

Alvin and I had a great time.

He was not fond, I will say of the car ride but did pretty good not being at home.

Alvin is a homebody ….. gets that from his sister.

We had a great visit.

Spent yesterday with the pups.

The baby Milo, the middle aged Alvin and the senior Sir Elton.

They are all extra special to me.

Baby Milo is full of energy so he kept us all hopping.

My daughter took our photo this afternoon.

Me and Alvin’s that is for the Christmas card.

Just doing laundry and catching up with stuff around home.

I just wanted to let you know that I am still here.

Will be back tomorrow.

Have a great Saturday night.

Special Hello to: my friends and family all over the world.

Always, Carol and Alvin
