Hello,

How are you today?

I am great.

Had a time actually getting up though.

I was dreaming away and just kept wanting to go back to sleep.

Seemed pretty real.

We went to bed at our regular weekday time of about 9 p.m. and Alvin was up about 4 a.m.

Then we were on the sofa until approximately 5:00 and he wanted to eat or at least it appeared so.

So he ate.

Then outside again.

Timer on the microwave, once, no twice but actually three times before getting up about 8:30 a.m.

Sometimes one just wants to lay down and rest and dream.

Right.

Alvin well I guess he sleeps all day or I assume he does because I am at work and do not know for certain.

Now yesterday and the past couple of days may have been different because Teddy was here.

Teddy’s Dad called and came for him about 5:30 p.m. last night just after our walk and pup’s supper.

Teddy’s Mom was coming home later in the evening.

Perhaps that is why Mr. Alvin went to sleep and slept through until about 4:00 a.m.

Well anyway …. we are up and by looking at the sky I am thinking before laundry and my breakfast, perhaps a walk.

Our weather has been all over the map.

Mostly clouds and rain.

But there are breaks when we get out and go for a nice walk.

Thankfully our temperatures have not been so HOT as in Eastern Canada.

Where they have soared in the high 30’s with 40’s humidity factor.

That would be too much.

The weather channel is showing some high 20’s for next week.

I will say this our grass has never looked more green and the flowers and plants are incredible.

Last night we had a real downpour just after Teddy left and I even managed as it was coming down with hail to move my plants on the deck into some shelter.

I am hopefully that we will have sunshine in August when I am on vacation.

My sister is coming for a visit and sunshine is a must.

How about time for some photos.

The pups were each laying in a chair looking out the window (well Alvin was kind of watching me take the photo).

These photos were taken this morning … just a few minutes ago.

The deck is still wet from last night’s rain.

The flowers are so vibrant and beautiful.

The grass and shrubs/plants in the back garden are growing like mad.

 

Well hopefully it will stop raining so we can mow the grass.

I have the office window open and we can some dogs barking behind us somewhere.

Alvin is getting annoyed.

 

Time to go.

Also he did not like the fact that I was trying to clean his ears earlier.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 10th day of January, 2017.

Another day in the deep freeze.

Thank goodness that I have been able to catch a ride in the morning with my neighbour.

I worry and think about all those souls who have no choice but to walk and then wait for the bus.

I hope that the buses are all on time.

Last night my daughter gave me a ride home from work.

So nice all round.

Both my neighbour and I were shovelling last night.

She did the front and I did the back and the driveways.

It is all good until it gets packed down when someone drives on it.

Mr. Alvin only stayed out with me a very short while.

I had him in the garage so at least he had some shelter.

He did not like being in the house without me.

But at least he was warm even if he was mad.

Better warm than not, I always say.

Well I must confess that I do like leaving the house a bit later…… bit longer in bed …… nice.

So strange when it is COLD out that all one wants to do is SLEEP and EAT.

You know not even eat …. more sleep.

So if you live where it is cold I wish you warmth.

Drive carefully if you must be out on the roads.

Some people do not think so you must be aware.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 2nd day of September, 2015.

It rained a wee bit overnight as the deck has wet splotches here and there.

You can begin to feel the difference in the air that September brings.

It is not so much cold as cool and crisp.

It smells fresh.

You definitely need a wee jacket in the morning while waiting for the bus.

Most especially if there be wind.

I feel the Scots part of me coming out this morning.

Likely soon to be followed by the Irish and English.

What a lovely combination.

Well here it is mid week.

Work has been going well …. busy but that is nothing new.

Somedays I wish that I could be completely caught up when I leave at night.

But alas not likely ….. nature of the beast so to speak.

I am excited we are down to three sleeps before my girl friend arrives from Regina.

I have been patiently waiting since she confirmed her plane ticket.

It will be nice to sip coffee and catch up.

I am also excited to see the photos of her newest grand-baby.

YAY ….. baby photos ……

I wished that they could bottle the smell of a newborn baby.

Well what is on your plate for this fine morning/day?

Going to work?

Staying at home?

Cleaning the house?

Filing papers?

Going for a walk?

Volunteering some time at a local senior’s home or animal shelter?

Cleaning out your closet and bringing your fall/winter clothes to the front?

Lots to do.

Cleaning the yard?

There is always something to do if you wish to do it.

Always start with a list ….. makes life so much easier.

Write down what you have to do ….. even a bit of a timeline if you wish….

Check items off as they are completed.

Trust me you will have such satisfaction when you check an item as done.

YAY ……

I do it all of the time.

Plus, you do not forget anything.

Well here it is time to leave once again.

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 15th day of September 2013.

How are you this Sunday?

Are you ready to begin an adventure?

Are you ready to try something new?

Are you ready to be better?

Are you ready to have faith?

Are you ready to smile at someone that you have not been introduced to?

Are you ready to give something to someone unexpectedly?

Are you ready to live your life like you have never lived it before?

Well today is the day!

Let’s get out there and truly live our lives?

Be the best person you can be?

Do the best at every thing that comes your way.

Take a chance.

Be brave …..

Send an email or make a phone call to someone you haven’t been in contact for awhile.

GO out into your neighbourhood or to a park and pick up any miscellaneous trash.

Swing by a senior’s home and check with reception and see who has not had a visitor recently and drop by.

Take a cup of coffee to a friend.

Go to a hospital and see about volunteering.

Go to an animal shelter and see about volunteering.

Go through your closet and give clothing, coats, shoes that you no longer need to a goodwill centre or a shelter.

Maybe start a coat drive before winter starts to give to those less fortunate.

Volunteer at a school or church.

Just simply do something nice for someone.

It doesn’t take a million dollars to make a difference to someone –  just a bit of time.

We can all make a difference…..

DO ONE RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS TODAY.

Let us start a revolution of KINDNESS and UNDERSTANDING … of MAKING A DIFFERENCE and of HELPING OUR FELLOW MAN.

Let us be kind to all living creatures big and small.

I hope that you will come on this journey with me.
