Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 2nd day of June, 2016.

Happy Birthday to a very special “niece” D …… we wish you a wonderful day.

Sun is shining and I assume the birds are singing if I were outside.

I am running late as for some reason Alvin’s internal clock has been waking him up extra early and so we get up and then hit the sofa.

That almost never works.

We will have to start going to bed a bit later again and see if that works.

I am happy it is Thursday and happy that the sun is shining.

It has been great to have the rain as we so desperately needed but we also need some sunshine.

We are blessed as it has been almost the perfect mix as of late.

Mr. Alvin has started a little bit ago wanting to sit under the desk when I am at the computer.

I have a small piece of rug that runs under the desk and then under the chair so that I do not go for an extra ride.

Anyway just a second ago he tapped my foot so that I would move my legs so he could go under the desk.

Cute, hey.

He is full of small and wonderful “habits” ……. ideas ……something.

Makes me smile.

Well almost time to hit the road.

I cannot believe that another evening has passed.

Have a wonderful Thursday.

Keep well ….. stay dreaming and working on those dreams.

Working toward them makes them come true.

Visualize.

That is one thing I always have to work on.

Having that picture in my head.

I have the thoughts but have to match them up.

Bye for now.

Special Hello to: all those dreamers out there ….

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 4th day of October, 2015.

My cousin has gone home, went to Costco, my daughter brought Alvin home & stayed for a visit …. all happened yesterday.

Oh, and some laundry, too.

Whew.

This morning the sun is shining and there are some dark clouds looming to the south.

I wish that it would stay bright.

I am strongly considering pulling my flowers, cleaning up the flower beds, putting away the patio furniture and ornaments and raking for a third time the massive mounds of yellow leaves from the front lawn.

It is kind of sad as the flowers are still blooming and looking great (will take some photos to show you) but when it freezes it will make them near impossible to be removed from the pots …. likely from the ground will be difficult, as well.

The neighbour to the south of me is building a garage.

It is not a regular one or two vehicle garage but a structure that appears to be a medium size house.

It has multiple windows, stairs, will have cupboard/work bench and the driveway is not your average one.

It goes to the edge of his property touching the back lane but goes all the way around the garage at the back and sides.

I do like the fact that his driveway is flat and not on an incline.

Crazy ….. very big.

That is what is going on in my neighbourhood.

Well I had the most glorious visit with my cousin as I have already shared with you.

I had a great visit with my neighbour to and from Costco.

I was so happy to see me Alvin and to have my daughter back at the house (she is such an amazing human and I feel better as a person when she is here).

So needless to say not too much housework was accomplished …. although I did wash my clothes but then bedding and towels are today.  I have started.

Well I had better get this show on the road …. get dressed …. finished my coffee and perhaps pour some into a to go mug and then I can drink it while I am working outside.  Will see if I can convince or “trick” Mr. Alvin into getting into his harness so he can be outside with me.  I like him to get as much fresh air as possible.

Oh, quick story about Mr. Alvin as I do not believe that I remembered to share this with all of you.

Friday night after work my daughter and son-in-law came to pick up Alvin so he could go for a sleepover which in hindsight I am so happy that I did so …. they both came in to get him.  My daughter along with Alvin’s things  (toothbrush and such) got into the car …… my son-in-law was with Alvin (who had his leash on, of course) and they were at the driver’s door of the car (the driver side facing the sidewalk so I could see clearly).  My son-in-law bent over to pick up Alvin and Alvin collapsed his hind end to the ground (it looked so funny).  This happened three or four times. I will admit that I did giggle for a bit. He has never done this at any other time that I remember.  Finally my son-in-law bent over and picked him up remarking “Oh, Alvin you are getting heavy.”  I was in the open doorway at the time so hear him and agreed.  So both of us have to work on our mid sections.  But it was so cute when he just collapsed to the sidewalk when my son-in-law went to pick him up.

Have an awesome Sunday.

Special Hello to: all those folks who are trying new things …… good on you ……always good to stretch.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Evening and it has been Monday the 28th day of September, 2015 all day.

I was away sick from work today ….. some bug got me but I feel much better after resting most of the day.

Mr. Alvin likes to keep me up …… always going to the door.

I am grateful that by sleeping for several extra hours and just resting the worse is over.

The sun is shining and I can tell you it has been a beautiful day ….. because Mr. Alvin spent a lot of time in the back yard.

So in the remaining hours of this Monday I am writing my blog.

Did you see the moon last night?

I saw it at the half way point but unfortunately the highlights of the evening were out of my sight.

I guess I might get to see it in 2033 ….. I will only be 76 so a date in the future.

Well I should go and check on Mr. Alvin ….. we won’t be walking tonight ….. as much as I think the fresh air would be good .the

walk is better left until tomorrow….. just going up and down stairs can be tiring.

Have a great evening and I will be back tomorrow.

Special Hello to: all those folks who are surrounded by four-legged friends ….. always treat them lovingly and with respect.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 5th day of September, 2015.

Today is the day that my friend arrives to visit from Regina.

She is already in the city visiting with another friend.

Lucky gal … lots of friends.

The sky is clear as the rain clouds have moved on.

The sun is shining.

It is a glorious day.

This is going to be ultra short as I have a few preparations yet to complete.

Always last minute things …. it has to be perfect.

I am even going to bake some “Steeped Tea” confetti cupcakes and the house will smell awesome.

Well I had better hit the shower (get dressed – just ironed my jeans and top).

Still have to vacuum and wash all of the floors so that they are freshly cleaned.

Perhaps a bit of last minute dusting ……

Check each room …..

Write up her card to put alongside her little welcome gift that is sitting on her bed.

I am so excited ….. always great to have guests.

Well it is just after 8:30 a.m. and she will be here around noon.

Better fly …. the time will pass quickly.

Alvin is wondering who I am speaking about …..

Soon he will see her ….. Miss P.

YAY ….. it is a great weekend.

Oh, yesterday we had company …. Miss Penny and Sir Elton.

Penny has been under the weather and was doing great yesterday.

We are hoping that she will be better and in our lives for many, many years to come.

All of our babies …. we love them so much.

Okay …. quit babbling I gotta go …. so excited.

Coffee … drink … shower ….. dressed ….. Alvin what?  outside ….. just a minute.

Thank you for reading my blog … I hope that you have an awesome long weekend.

Special Hello to: all those folks who have company on the way to visit …. enjoy.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day …….

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 3rd day of June, 2015.

The sun is shining and there is a breeze.

This is going to be an awesome day.

Last night after supper we delivered the last of the invitations to our Steeped Tea party.

Of course, we stopped and visited with our neighbours as we made our deliveries.

On one of our stops we were invited in …… this particular neighbour of ours has a cat.

We met when she used to walk her beloved dog who passed away one year ago this August.

We miss her.

Now the cat is alone.

The cat is so cute and is also partially deaf.

Alvin loves cats but they do not always love him.

He spent the first several minutes squeaking with excitement and wanting to run.

Finally “clued in” and let him go a bit on the leash and found all he wanted to do was snoop.

Not sure why I didn’t realize ….. slow Momma.

So he checked out each nook and cranny (looking for what I do not know).

The cat (so cute) started to follow him as he walked about.

They even went out in the back yard.

No secrets with Mr. Alvin about …..

I told my neighbour and friend that I should change his name to “Snoop Dog.”

He loves to visit.

At one point after they did so well …… Alvin walked by and got into her space.

She gave him one swipe.

He yelped and I screamed and my friend jumped.

We were startled.

No one was injured, and all was well.

It was an interesting visit.

Another adventure of Mr. Alvin and his Momma.

Well it is getting close to leaving time.

I hope that you have an amazing day …..

Special Hello to: all my friends new and old …… you are awesome.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Well it feels as though spring has sprung.  The sun is shining, and it is melting outside.

Alvin is loving this weather and spends lots of time basking in the sunshine on the deck.

It is a great time of year for us all ……. getting that VITAMIN D level up ……

After this long winter – it is something that we all can use.

I am excited …….. I hope that you are enjoying the sunshine wherever you are (hope that it is in fact, shining).

My six year old friend Lea dropped by and we are going to have a quick game of Trivia Pursuit.

She beat me yesterday…… so I have to win today….  🙂

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning Dear Hearts,

Well today is Wednesday, I know this for sure.

The sun is up and shining.

Bouncing those rays off the snow on the garage top –

Making each snowflake appear to sparkle as if in a field of diamonds.

I believe that the rooftop of my garage is worth millions of dollars…..  🙂

How glorious.  I love the sparkle of snow and diamonds.

So thought for this day……

Take a look around and you will see.

All of the beautiful things that nature has to offer ….. mixed in with some man made things.

What a glorious day.

Enjoy your day…

Always, Carol
