Dark out.

Forecast is for SNOW on Thursday.

ARGH,

Now I will not hear the end of it from a co-worker.

On Sunday I cleaned up some flower pots and put away some of my deck furniture and then posted some photos with the tag line …. something to the effect ….

almost ready for winter ….. if it snows ….. I am in trouble (giggling aloud).

 

More pressing matter at hand.

Not life threatening.

Just something that I prefer not to share on this forum.

 

This will be short.

We are well.

I am back.

OMG, sometimes one does not think clearly first thing in the morning.

The sky appears to be clear to the east where the sun will be rising over the next little bit.

Alvin is resting on his blue blanket beside me.

Last night Alvin and I walked with our friend “P.”

So great to have someone to chat with on our walks.

I love my walks with Alvin but unfortunately he is not too chatty.

Sometimes he is but mostly he just walks with his nose to the ground.

Taking in the smells of man and nature.

Other than food, I would say that is his second favourite thing to do.

Looking forward to a 14+ celsius day and for our walk tonight.

Tomorrow is to be raining and then Thursday, I will not repeat that four-lettered word, beginning with S.

I will be putting the remaining flower pots into the garage tonight for sure.

Also will put away the remaining furniture.

 

I guess I truly had Mr. Alvin worried this morning as I scurried about ….

 

Well all is well, and I am just putting on the finishing touches before leaving for work.

Thankfully for 1-888 numbers and 24 hour service.

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 26th day of July, 2018.

July is winding down quickly.

Where did it go?

The sky is an odd shade of pale pink and white.

Not really rain …

Not really sunshine….

There is no breeze really.

But it is cool with the windows open.

I opened them all as they are forecasting a warm one (not super hot but warm).

 

Well I have been excited thinking about my company arriving next week and the following week going on vacation.

So nice to be able to see my family and to get away with my daughter for a few days.

Alvin will enjoy his sleepover with my son-in-law and the grand-pups.

We need to spend some time apart as we are joined at the hip.

Sometimes Alvin has separation anxiety.

YAY, vacation.

I am ready.

 

Do you have time off from work or school?

Do you go away or stay home?

Do you travel the world or travel close to home?

Do you go see family on vacation?

Do you stay in a hotel?

Do you stay with family?

Do you camp?

Summer for most of us in North America or at least the northern portion of North America; is short.

We appreciate that time.

We sometimes grumble when it is hot but we do not wish to complain as our summers are short.

I love the flowers, the green grass and the trees.

GREEN is my favourite colour.

This summer my flowers are doing GREAT and I hope that they look this good when my company arrives next week.

Next Tuesday night to be exact.

We will have a house full and that is okay.

Always great to see everyone and spend time with them.

 

Well almost time to leave for work.

Carpool will be arriving shortly.

So happy to have a ride.

Really grateful.

Experiences with city public transportation as of late have been poor.

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 8th day of March, 2018.

What a night!

Broken sleep.

That boy of mine.

About 1.5 hours after going to bed – Alvin decides he needs to go outside.

But for the wrong reasons.

He had a “chew treat” that he needed to bury in the snow.

I tried to convince him to come back to bed and tried ignoring him but to no avail.

So up we went and he went out.

Anyway chopped up sleep and he was still ready to get up at 3:58 a.m.

ARGH.

Oh well.

Needless to say I am feeling a bit tired so will definitely snooze on the bus.

Thankfully the ride is about one hour to work and the work to the office will wake me up.

I hope that with the time change this weekend we are back on track????

 

Well gotta go.

Sorry this is so short.

All about Alvin.

What a character.

He loves to bury those chew treats.

He has paths going up the snow banks on the deck, and loves to go and bury them, and then dig them up later.

What a guy.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 26th day of November, 2017.

The sky is overcast with no signs of the sun at just after 8:00 a.m. this morning.

Yesterday was glorious with the sun shining.

Alvin and I donned our winter apparel including my ice picks on my boots and we got about ten steps away from our house and Alvin was slipping and sliding.

He almost did a Bambi on the ice.

Even with my extra grips on my boots, I was no match for the ICE.

So we carefully turned around and went home.

I removed Alvin’s winter coat and harness and left him in the house ( he was not happy ).

Grabbed my ice pick and went to break up some of the ice by our house.

I managed to get our sidewalk to the street done ( by the way it does not look like it this morning ).

The ice in front of our house that was not there a day ago was not as easy to do.

I gave up after a few minutes.

Alvin spent time in our back yard in several different intervals throughout the day.

So disappointed to have missed a walk in the sunshine.

We will see what today brings.

 

This morning I am going for groceries and to post the Christmas cards.

Later my friend is coming to fix my dryer ( I guess the part arrived ).

Will be a busy morning and early afternoon.

 

Time to hit the shower and have coffee before shopping.

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 28th day of February, 2017.

Last day for this month.

Today is the Birthday of one of my nephews.

The second oldest one.

Happy Birthday “D” ….. Wishing you a great day.

We are well into this new year, for sure.

The mornings have been cold but have warmed up over the course of the day.

I have not had a “bad” cold for quite some time now I have the sore throat and runny nose.

Too bad all of those folks who cough into the air on the bus would not take a few more precautions.

Oh well ….

Last night my daughter gave me a ride home from work as she had to come to our area to pick up something.

It was nice to see her and for the ride.

I always enjoy our conversations.

Alvin was happy to see her.

Well this morning my head feels full of cob webs so I shall make this short.

Another gorgeous un “January” like day …… plus temperatures again.

WOW.

We are enjoying this weather.

I am grateful that today is Friday as it has been a long week.

Looking forward to being at home with my Alvin and enjoying the warm weekend weather.

Not sure where the time goes and why some mornings I have lots of time and others I am rushing am late.

Doing the same routine exactly.

Is it to do with my “thoughts?”

Perhaps.

Guess I had better get that straightened out.

Anyway, as I am running late …. this will be very short.

Sure cooled down overnight.

It appears to have rained by the look of the deck.

The next couple of days are to be cooler and then warming up again.

Looks like today will be a jacket day for sure.

We slept in this morning as I set the alarm incorrectly.

When changing my room around I did not set it for morning.

Alas my Alvin came to the rescue and woke me up in time.

We are doing things out of order but will get them done and off to work on time.

Today my blog is short.

Just a thank you to Alvin for waking me up in time.

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 16th day of September, 2015.

Well another rainy night in “Georgia” … er I mean Edmonton.

It has stopped for now ….. we would like to see the sunshine.

The rain has been wonderful but time for some rays.

To add to my mornings I have found that taking the usual bus now is not working.

Most mornings I get there on time and then a couple of days I have been a couple of minutes late.

So time to start leaving even earlier …. 6:20 a.m. this morning.

I will be earlier to work but there is no happy medium.

That is okay.

Better to be earlier than late.

I do not like showing up just as the clock strikes the start hour.

Well this is going to be ultra short as a result.

Have to get the time down again …

Rework the morning routine …

You know how that works when you change the departure time.

Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 5th day of September, 2015.

Today is the day that my friend arrives to visit from Regina.

She is already in the city visiting with another friend.

Lucky gal … lots of friends.

The sky is clear as the rain clouds have moved on.

The sun is shining.

It is a glorious day.

This is going to be ultra short as I have a few preparations yet to complete.

Always last minute things …. it has to be perfect.

I am even going to bake some “Steeped Tea” confetti cupcakes and the house will smell awesome.

Well I had better hit the shower (get dressed – just ironed my jeans and top).

Still have to vacuum and wash all of the floors so that they are freshly cleaned.

Perhaps a bit of last minute dusting ……

Check each room …..

Write up her card to put alongside her little welcome gift that is sitting on her bed.

I am so excited ….. always great to have guests.

Well it is just after 8:30 a.m. and she will be here around noon.

Better fly …. the time will pass quickly.

Alvin is wondering who I am speaking about …..

Soon he will see her ….. Miss P.

YAY ….. it is a great weekend.

Oh, yesterday we had company …. Miss Penny and Sir Elton.

Penny has been under the weather and was doing great yesterday.

We are hoping that she will be better and in our lives for many, many years to come.

All of our babies …. we love them so much.

Okay …. quit babbling I gotta go …. so excited.

Coffee … drink … shower ….. dressed ….. Alvin what?  outside ….. just a minute.

Up extra early so that I will be ready to start our new routine.
I go into Word Press to find that the format has changed.
No time to fiddle with things to figure it out.
