Thought for the day….

Good Monday morning and today is July 16th ,2012.

I hope that you all had a great weekend.

The “you all” is leftover from my short stay in Texas back when I was a child.

We spent a winter there.  I loved Texas and we had the coolest neighbours on the planet.

The “Timmer Family”  …… Mom was a teacher and Dad was a fireman and their daughter’s name was Mary Beth.

Some of our other neighbours were spanish so we picked up on some of that language as well.

We sounded great when we got back to our small town school in Corning, Saskatchewan.

I can only imagine ….. what we must have sounded like ….. guess I should ask my “best friend” from my childhood …. she would likely remember.

Anyway, onto today ….. the RAIN HAS STOPPED.  The sky appears to be clearing.  I have asked nicely, and Mother Nature has responded.

Now, I love the rain, really I do but in small doses.  Sunshine is good, too.  We are in need of some now.

So back to my original comment, I hope that you all had a great weekend.

My weekend was great and strange all wrapped up in one.

Went from skyping with my sister and coffee with one of my friends and her boys to mopping up a flooded basement.

How does that happen?  RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, and more RAIN.

Oh, and I went to see a movie at our new theatre with one of my neighbours ….. we saw “The Amazing Spiderman” ….. it was awesome.

Definitely made it to my top 5 movie list of all time.  That list includes “Titanic”, of course, Pretty Woman, The Star Trek Movies (count as one) and Spiderman.  Yes, I know it is four.  But I am pondering my other one as I actually have a tie.

So that shall be for another day.

Anyway, gotta go and check my neighbour’s basement …. that is where the flood was …… it was because the builders did not put in the window properly.
