Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 31st day of August, 2016.

It is a beautiful morning and already quite warm but thankfully there is a breeze.

Last day of July 2016.

Crazy how fast the summer seems to go.

We just arrived back from a walk and while we were out bumped into our neighbours “I” and “N” out for a stroll.

Of course, we stopped and chatted for a bit before continuing on our way home.

They were on their way out and we were on our way in.

The garage sale yesterday would be considered a hit.

Lots of people and we all sold a reasonable amount of things and even made some cash to boot.

This is the last sale that I will be having for a while.

I think that I have had four or five this summer.

Summer is precious so next year if I have one it will be ONE.

The clouds are rolling in to the south.

They have forecasted rain for today so I am happy that we were able to get our walk in already just in case.

You never know with the weather.

Well today will be a quiet one.

I will just do some laundry and perhaps decided what jobs need to be done over my vacation.

Once it stops raining I will mow the grass as it is so tall again.

With all the rain it just grows like mad.

Well time to go as I just got up and took Alvin for a walk without having breakfast (he ate of course).

We stayed resting on the sofa for awhile as I just was feeling lazy.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 27th day of April, 2016.

Here we are winding down another month … the fourth of 2016.

It is just after 6:00 a.m. here in Edmonton and the sun is already beginning to rise.

Soon it will be up when we get up about 5:00 a.m.

 

I have been away sick for the last couple of days but am better.

Also good news on the grand-puppy “Elton” front – surgery was successful.

I am grateful for all of the prayers and positive energy from friends and family.

Thank you.

What a relief.

 

Sometimes just when you think that nothing will go right and you are nearing the end of your positive energy …. something GREAT happens to restore your faith.

I guess it was there all along but lately I honestly had given up.

But things are going once again in the right direction.

Reminder to us all – never give up, ever.

Always be grateful and live in the moment.

 

Well after sleeping for the better part of two days … I did not sleep much last night.

Mr. Alvin had an upset tummy just before bed and I could not settle down.

Is there such a thing as too much sleep?

I guess so.

 

Well I guess I had better get this show on the road.

After losing our routine for two days time to get it back.

Life is gaining momentum once again in the right direction.

I am so so grateful.

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 7th day of January, 2016.

The past couple of days I have been home sick and am going to work today.

Still not feeling 100% but have to get back to work.

 

How has the world been the past couple of days?

I know that shots were fired in my daughter’s neighbourhood the day before last.

They are okay – thank goodness.

 

This whole mixed up world.

What is happening?

Why are we where we are?

Is anyone asking this question?

Does anyone care?

Is it because of man’s never ending need to be the most powerful / the richest?

Is it because we cannot stand to see someone else with more than us?

Is it because we never completely found compassion for one another?

Is it because we are never satisfied?

The list of questions could go on and on and I have to go to work but perhaps you see my point.

 

I have always tried to be kind and 98% of the time successful, I believe.

Is this a male / female thing?

I do not know.

But something has to change before we destroy ourselves and this beautiful gem in the universe.

Just feeling a little sad this morning ….. perhaps because I am not at my best …. it has me in reflection mode.

But I hope that one by one we can see the light and change things before it is too late.

Please go out of your way to be kind …. to help each other …..

Forget thinking that someone else will stop and help that person in need ….. it has to be you.

You are that person….

You must stop.

If we continue to pass by …. then we will not have learned perhaps the most important lesson of all …..

Compassion for those in need.

To help each other ….. to have community.

Without compassion there is no love.

Without compassion there is no kindness.

Without compassion there is …..
