The New YEAR 2022

Good Morning ALL! Another sunny cold day here in Edmonton. I am down with a headache. Alvin is well.

Just wanted to say hello.

Have a good day.

Continuing to live this day with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus and possibilities.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Second Half of the NEW YEAR.

Good Morning,

Welcome to Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

Today is the birthday of the older of my brothers who is younger than me.

Happy Birthday Brother.

Wishing you an awesome day.

He lives in the country and is haying today.

It is a bright and sunny morning.

There is a slight breeze and feels refreshing.

Alvin is pacing and now sitting beside my desk as I write this post.

Now laying down.

Once we are done, will get dressed and head out for a walk.

Beautiful morning.

Well folks I finally went out into the wild world of grocery shopping last night.

My friend Gillian picked me up.

We masked up and headed into COSTCO and then onto SAVE-ON.

No longer are people lining up to go in although I did notice that a woman was holding a counter in the entrance way so perhaps they are keeping track of the numbers coming into the store.

Everyone in both stores was wearing a mask.

Upon entering COSTCO there was a sea of blue masks.

I noticed that most folks in COSTCO were wearing the masks that they were handing out.

Save-On did not hand out masks that I noticed.

Both stores did have sanitizer.

I was happy that I did not get too freaked out by the experience.

The mask was hot and uncomfortable.

My glasses fogged up so I had to keep taking them off.

Luckily I can see distances without wearing them.

So now I am on the lookout for lighter more breathable but safe masks.

They did say that any covering on your face is better than nothing.

Scarves etc.

Not sure.

Crazy to think that I have not been in a grocery store since the beginning of March and this is August.

Last Wednesday I went to Shoppers and then last night so slowly making my way back to being in public.

Just have to be aware of those around you.

Well time to out of pj’s and dressed so that I can take Mr. Alvin for a walk.

So grateful to be on vacation for second week.

I hope that you all are safe and in good health.

Enjoy your day.

Always remember to take some time for yourself.

Even if it is only a minute or two.

Living my life with kindness and respect.

Oh, I gave away more than 36 pieces of carrot cake and cupcakes.

Still a bit left but not too much which is good.

Have an awesome day.

I/We shall remain,

As Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 6th day of August, 2017.

Just a few more days until I turn 60.

Having a great visit with my little sister.

We are off to West Edmonton Mall for a few hours.

The sun is shining and the birds are singing  and life is grand.

What a lucky girl I am.

Alvin is loving having two of me…..

The reason I say is because we sound exactly the same.

Alvin is running between the two of us.

But I will say that he loves his Auntie C.

Last night we were out for a walk and she popped into the corner gas station.

We stayed across the street waiting for her as I did not want to take him across the big busy street.

He cried for her and waited impatiently for her to return.

Well time to put the finishing touches on getting ready.

Have a wonderful day.

Special Hello to: my family and friends on this sunny Sunday.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 5th day of September, 2013.

What a gorgeous morning.

Just hopped out of the shower and am ready to grab this day by it’s tail and go for it.

I was thinking about something.

Are you where you thought you would be at this point in your life?

Are you happy?

Are you living life to the fullest extent of your being?

Are you giving back?

Well honestly for me, I do not think that I could have dreamed that I would be doing what I am doing at this stage of my life.

When I was a child and young woman,  I dreamed of a big house with a white fence and now my children would be grown up and likely grandchildren.

But as we all know sometimes we change the course of our lives.

I did that early on but I still dreamed of four children even if it meant they belonged to someone else (blended marriage).

Today I have one daughter, a son-in-law, two grand=puppies and one “son” my Alvin …… they are the BEST.

I am surrounded by loving family and friends.

I am not in a relationship other than with my family and friends.

I work two jobs so that I can live in this house.

My very first house at age 52.

I try to write as much as possible.

I have a jewellery business (small but we will grow) with my daughter.

Making jewellery and writing are my two passions … being creative is wonderful.

I still dream and revise those dreams all the time.

Which I think helps you to grow.

I know that my dreams have changed somewhat but I am SO HAPPY.

Somedays it can be “difficult” being on your own but I know that I CAN DO IT.

I am abundant in so much of my life that the remaining part will catch up and that I know for sure.

I try to give back wherever I can ….

I belong to the Capital City Clean-Up and keep my neighbourhood clean by picking up the trash.

Whenever and wherever I can I help others.

Time is always a good thing to give ….. it has more value than you know.

So get out there …. dream …. revise those dreams ….. give back and live your life.

Have a great Thursday.

I am on the second day of learning about Pinterest.

Computers are a wonderful thing.

Special Hello to: all the dreamers of the world.

Always, Carol and Alvin
