Good Morning and Welcome to Saturday the 20th day of April, 2019.
The sun is up and we are up a full hour plus today.
I have already put a load of towels into the laundry and brought up all of the clothing that was hanging to dry in the basement.
Also put it away.
Alvin decided to wait to have breakfast – I would like to think he is waiting for me.
One more thing to do after this blog post and that is a shower.
We had a great Friday, “Good Friday.”
Did some laundry, cleaned out my bedroom closet, the spare bedroom closet and the front entranceway closet.
PURGING felt wonderful.
In the end I filled a huge black garbage bag with clothing and a couple of jackets.
YAY, me.
My closet is now filled with ALL pieces of clothing that I can fit and will wear.
That always feels so good to have done.
Also moved living room furniture vacuumed and then washed the main floor.
Alvin and I ended it all with a lovely walk.
While on our walk a car stopped and a lady got out.
She started to call “KONA” several times.
I assumed that she was calling for a dog and I was correct.
Apparently her son’s friend left the back gate open and the “two” dogs got out.
One of them had been found right away but the other a young german shepherd was not.
Her son had called them to come and join the search.
I told the woman to make sure that they put the missing dog on Facebook and on the Edmonton Lost Animal sites and call HUMANE SOCIETY.
I checked Facebook and saw a post from the Edmonton area page and it would appear that someone located the young shepherd.
I only hope that they connected with the owner.
Hopefully will find out this morning.
I did leave some messages on a couple of posts with hopes that someone will reach out to me.
Always worried when fur babies are separated from their parents.
I know that if Mr. Alvin ever got lost – I would be devastated.
Although as everyone knows him in the area – he would make it home safely (at least I am hopeful).
I always keep my back gate locked and no one enters that way without me there.
Better to be safe than sorry.
Strict rules provide safety for our fur babies.
Well I guess time to get this show on the road.
See what trouble we can get into today.
Oh, about suppertime last night we received a phone call from our friend P.
She called as she had made her Saskatoon crumble for the family get together today but made an extra small one for me.
How thoughtful.
She drove it over and also gave me small chocolate Easter Eggs.
I am very blessed to have such thoughtful and kind friends.
Well lots to do.
Shower, breakfast, working on laundry, I would like to power wash the deck and house, walk as usual, clean the basement and maybe the office if there is time.
Although the office may be a full afternoon project.
Happy Saturday.
Enjoy your weekend.
I am …. so enjoying this time at home.
Special Hello to: my grand-pups Aspen and Milo, our friends Teddy and Humphrey and all of the fur babies out there. Stay safe.
Always, Carol & Alvin
