Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 12th day of March, 2018.
I know what I was doing on this day thirty-eight years ago.
Bringing the most wonderful baby girl into the world.
She is the light of my life (sorry Alvin but she is the first born).
WOW, it is crazy how time flies.
It truly feels like only yesterday that you turned one, then going to kindergarten, then elementary and then high school graduation.
She has packed so much into her 38 years and I am so pleased to have played a part in this doll’s life.
Wishing my Darling GIRL the best BIRTHDAY ….
To the MOON, to the STARS, to the whole UNIVERSE, I love you.
Alvin loves his big sister, too.
WE both do.
Have an awesome day my darling.
May the next thirty-eight years bring you much joy, love and may you find whatever you are looking for and dreaming about.
Throw in a dash of PERFECT HEALTH, have to have that for sure.
****************************************************
Here are some photos from before the party as the Momma was getting prepared for the PARTY.

I made my girl a “TREASURE BOX” and placed some items that we thought she would like. Most especially a beautiful English bone china cup and saucer and the Butterfly Book (just for her).
Underneath the gifts, I placed some butterfly paper, photo of a butterfly and a photo of me and Alvin. This was the bottom of the box.
On the top I did another butterfly paper, a flower that I made out of polymer clay and decorated with some jewellery and adorned it with photos of my daughter’s loves.

OMG, those CUPCAKES were amazing. My son-in-law did a great job picking up the “BIRTHDAY CAKE.”
We did eat supper before the cupcakes…..
It was a great night.
Ending with a gift of SEQUENCE.
Perfect evening.
Needless to say that Alvin and I had a great weekend.
We walked, he had a hair cut and bath.
He looks so handsome.
I love having a hair cut and Alvin not so much.
Our weather feels like spring.
YAY.
I can feel it.
I saw a bunny the other day and it is turning brown.
Definite sign of spring.
Have an awesome Monday.
Special Hello to: my Birthday GIRL.

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 28th day of April, 2017.
I think that I can see the SUN rising through a layer of fog that has been slowly clearing.
Blue sky …. blue sky ….. OMG …. makes me almost giddy…..oh, no I am giddy.
What a wonderful way to start the weekend or almost weekend.
Last night I had an ENERGY HEALING appointment.
I went to my friend’s house as she lives only a short walk away from me.
I was greeted with her two pups Abby and Teddy.
Miss Abby is about Alvin’s age so she came and said hello very lady-like.
Teddy is about two and he was excited.
You would have thought he had never seen another human being.
He gave me an energetic greeting.
So just under one and half hours later I was done.
Teddy had been trying to get up on the table with me and at the end, my friend held him up to see me.
He wanted to be on the table, and I said okay.
He gave me some love ….
Then out of the blue he laid right down on me and placed his front paws about as if he were giving me a hug.
It felt like a hug.
Made me want to cry ….. tears of joy.
Never had a pup give me a hug before ….. she was shocked as he had not done that in his two years.
My friend said that it was “an energy transfer” …….
WOW.
Thank you Teddy.
Last night was a great night.
When I got home I had a cup of tea and snuggled with my boy.
Who could tell I had been around other pups.
He knows them and likely recognized their scents.
Well time to get this show on the road.
I elected to take a bit later bus this morning and catch a couple extra zzzz’s.
Still get to work on time just not ultra early and that is okay.
Well this weekend, tomorrow Mr. Alvin gets a hair cut and bath, there is always laundry and house cleaning.
But appears that we will have double digit temps and SUN …. so I will be full of energy.
Have an awesome Friday.
Special Hello to: Mr. Sunshine …… I can see bright light ….. the SUN….. thank you, thank you.

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 30th day of March, 2017.
Wow, where did that month go?
Yikes.
Last night Alvin and I enjoyed the most wonderful “wet” walk.
Most of the way around our lake found water on the sidewalks so my shoes got wet.
Thank goodness I wore my SKETCHERS barefoot and did not wreck my shoes.
I must share my experience from last night.
A friend of mine does various types of Holistic Healing which includes: Integrated Healing, Craniosacral Therapy, Lymphatics, Viscera and Energy Healing.
After my session, I felt so wonderful.
Actually during the session I could feel a difference in my energy.
My shoulders have always held any and all stress and tension.
Even if I do not think that I am stressed my shoulders are tense and solid.
After she worked unblocked the energy in my shoulders I felt so soft and good.
Hard to explain.
Funny story quickly as we were up once again ultra early and now I am running a bit behind.
After my friend set up her table in the living room and instructed me to lay down, Mr. Alvin started to bark.
We both tried to quieten him but to no avail.
This friend has the most quiet, kind manner and she just spoke to him as she wanted me to just relax.
Finally she said “Alvin, you just want to be with your Momma” and popped him up on the table with me where he stayed until almost the end of my session.
So Alvin inadvertently had a Energy Healing session as well.
It was so much fun.
I feel so good this morning even though my sleep was mixed with Alvin getting up so early.
Time to fly here.
Have an awesome day.
Special Hello to: my friends who heal.

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 11th day of August, 2016.
Bright sunny morning here in Edmonton.
Today is the birthday of one of my brothers, Happy Birthday “J” …… we wish you the best day.
We are seldom able to be together for our birthdays but we are together in our thoughts and hearts.
My Alvin is back home now and the house does not feel so empty.
He had a great visit with his sister, brother-in-law and Elton.
He had some anxiety of course in the car ride to their home and for the first bit until he got used to their house once again, but that is my little homebody.
He likes to be at home.
Now that being said, he likes to visit in the neighbourhood as he knows that there is no car ride and that we will go straight home after the visit.
I just heard a little groan which means “Momma, get off the computer and let’s go downstairs,” or something like that.
Today is my second last day of vacation and then the weekend and on Monday back to work.
Where did those vacation days go? Where did the summer go?
Crazy how time flies …..
Oh, I should mention last night I was invited to a friend’s house for supper.
Three of us got together for “grilled” burgers and I brought the potato salad.
She has a inside portable grill which was nice.
The burgers were amazing.
We dressed our plates and ate on her patio which has a permanent awning covering where the table is located.
The temperature was perfect and for some reason no bugs.
It was so nice.
After supper I went home and got Mr. Alvin as I did not wish to leave him alone just after he arrived back home.
So he got to go out for a visit.
My friend has a cat.
Wherever Alvin walked he watched for the cat and if he saw her, he walked around.
Once she swatted him (no claws drawn) and he is a bit fearful of her although he does want to play and I think she does as well.
They just need to be together no often …..
Well time to get this show on the road.
Happy Thursday everyone.
Special Hello: to my brother on his birthday, and to all those who share this date with him, Happy Birthday.

Good Afternoon, today is an overwhelmingly sad day for our family as our beloved Penny passed away.
We still cannot believe that she is gone, and will her miss her forever.
She had been diagnosed with kidney disease not long ago, and also had a known heart murmur.
But this day came all to fast for us.
When our four-legged darlings come into our lives we do not think of that day …. the time when they will no longer be with us.
We love them with all our heart.
Penny came into our family quite by accident by one fall back in 2005.
My daughter found her in a small town general store, and fell in love with the bundle of fur … who later was named Penny Lane.
She had a brother later named Parker.
Penny was adopted by my daughter and son-in-law and Parker by one of their friends.
She instantly became a sister for Elton whom they had adopted the year before ……
Penny loved to be outside ….. loved go on walks ….. she really loved life.
My kids were the best parents ever to both Penny and to Elton.
They went on family vacations to the mountains and to the lake.
Penny loved to investigate things wherever she was …..
She loved to EAT ….. I would say that food was her passion.
Bananas were her favourite treat.
I am not sure how she managed it but she would jump up onto a kitchen chair any chance she got ….. just to see what was on the table.
There was the odd time that she managed to get up onto the table …. making for some excitement and laughter.
Penny and Elton would come for sleepovers to my house and later on when I adopted Alvin they became the three amigos.
Trouble, trouble and trouble.
But they truly loved each other.
She also loved to get into things ….. like kleenex ….. loved to shred it …..
Our Penny had no trouble speaking her mind, and that was evident when she would jump up onto the chair by the living room window and announce to us who was going by outside.
She was sweet, loving and gentle.
I would like to share some photos from over the years…

Just TOO Cute……

Alvin and Penny …..

Ah, my puppies ….. Elton and Penny

Miss Penny, again she is quite the model….

Amanda, Steven and Miss Penny ….

Ah, Miss Penny a few years back
Baby Penny…

Alvin getting to know his “new” family…. ( the first night we met Alvin).

Elton and Penny, the grand-puppies.

Wake up Dad.

Relaxing at Grandma’s house.

Alvin and Penny enjoying summer.

Christmas 2015 at my new house …. Penny
There was love …… there is always love.
Rest in Peace our darling Penny.

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 30th day of November, 2015.
It is a beautiful morning here in Edmonton.
Calm … warm …… perfect.
Alvin and I had a great day yesterday even though part of it included his hair cut and bath.
He does not like getting his hair cut very much and barely tolerates having a bath.
So I am so happy it is all over.
I managed to get his paws trimmed quite well all by myself.
Later on after his hair was dry we donned our winter coats and went for a walk.
It was beautiful out ….
We are so blessed to have this nice weather.
Make it nice when walking and waiting for the bus, for sure.
Last night I wrote out a few Christmas cards to mail.
Will finish them up over the next couple of days.
Next weekend I will be baking.
The only thing left to do is to wrap presents and I will do that the following week or maybe even this weekend.
I love to see things wrapped under the tree.
It will be nice to ready and then I can just relax and enjoy.
My girlfriends and I are having our Christmas get together on the 19th of December and I am so excited.
Well I guess I had better get going …. finish my breakfast which I brought up to the office again.
Somehow I just cannot get past sitting at the table anymore after our recent visitor(s).
I know that they are gone but …..
So wishing you a great Monday.
I hope that you are able to do all that you wish to today ….
Be creative …..
Happy Monday.

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 23rd day of November, 2015.
Another gorgeous morning here in Edmonton.
I think I shall wear my shoes today.
Might as well take advantage of dry streets and sidewalks and the warm temperatures.
Another great Sunday was had by me and Mr. Alvin.
We did laundry, mostly me but he had good instructions.
We labelled and priced the last of the jewellery and packed it for the craft sale.
We put together some tea samples to take to work today.
We put the new jewellery in bags ready for transport to the office to show the girls.
We put away the ornaments that were just set on top of boxes and the table downstairs.
We decorated the upstairs bannister for Christmas.
Let’s see there were more things but it was so nice to get so much accomplished.
There was even time for the odd break here and there.
Mr. Alvin is a very good help mainly in the supervisory area.
But we all need some supervision from time to time and I tend to drift sometimes.
Both of us enjoyed our walk …. so beautiful out yesterday afternoon.
Time to go to work ….
Another Monday.
Hard to believe that one week from tomorrow is December 1st.
I hope that you had an awesome weekend.
Did you listen to music?
One little story….on our walk yesterday.
We were on our way home when we noticed one of our neighbours out putting up a reindeer and sled with the help of his young son.
I was smiling as the young boy had shorts on and a winter coat.
Alvin of course wanted to go and say hello.
The Dad and I chatted.
Dad said so nice to have this good weather for decorating outside.
I agreed.
Then a young girl came out …. Alvin was in his glory.
The kids were trying to help.
Trying is good.
Well time to go.
Have a GREAT day.
Special Hello to: all those Dads who decorate with the kiddies’ help ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 16th day of November, 2015.
Wow, is it really the 16th of November.
The wind is really howling this morning.
The vents are just a flapping.
Pretty noisy inside the house.
I had a really good weekend despite the creature who seems to have eluded us.
One sighting last Wednesday, Remembrance Day at 5:00 p.m.
Nothing that would indicate it is in the house.
Oh how I wish that it were so.
That perhaps it decided with all of the screaming, lights and action that perhaps it would move on.
I am trying to erase the stories that have settled into my brain.
I did move the chair from near the bay window in the kitchen back into the living room so that it no longer blocks the “plug in that emits sound.”
Traps set one in the basement and one in the pantry.
I am so proud of myself …. I have managed to check them both.
Mind you I do not have to get close.
Okay enough about this ……
Alvin kept me company yesterday while I logged each piece of jewellery that we are taking to the craft show.
I still have a few of the newer necklaces that I made to price.
There is a list of things that need to be packed other than jewellery so I will work on that box this week.
I am excited for the craft sale to see what others are making – only one other jewellery table that day.
Should be fun.
Any opportunity I have to spend precious time with my daughter I am all in.
Another Monday, I am excited.
Always good to be alive and celebrate another day.
Mondays are good as is each and every day of the week.
Start fresh …. first day of my work week.
Tomorrow night I am attending a Brownie Cookie Sale with my friend “S” and her daughter “M.”
It costs $1.00 for admission and then $4.00 for one dozen cookies.
You take a container or can purchase one there for $1.00 and then pick out your cookies.
I believe you can pick them one by one.
They also serve coffee and tea …. how fun is that.
I am very excited for the outing.
My only thing is coming home and leaving Alvin shortly afterward.
I guess it is not that I do this very often …. not at all.
So he will be okay.
Well time to get this show on the road.
Happy Monday to you all.
Special Hello to: all of the Mothers who have daughters in Brownie’s …. very cool.

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 8th day of November, 2015.
Oh my goodness such a wonderful Saturday had by this Momma and Mr. Alvin.
We started out having coffee and tea with our friends …
The room was filled with love and laughter.
So much laughter.
My friends are such great story tellers …..
After they left my daughter arrived ….
We put ourselves ready and were off to the Shoppers Drugmart Gala.
They had such good treats including the most delightful chocolate cake with pink buttercream icing ….. yummy ….. melt in your mouth.
The cake was made at the bakery in the nearby Save-On Grocery.
We played spin the wheel and received free items (makeup) and after making our purchases we received more free items.
Then we went to the grocery store and then home.
First thing after putting groceries away was to go with Mr. Alvin for a nice walk.
The weather was absolutely amazing for November 7th …… it was in the double digits.
I think about 13 or so degrees celsius.
We are making some new items to add to our Dear Stella Jewellery Collection and worked on them over the course of the evening.
Something totally different and new.
Very exciting.
We started the process last night …..
I made stir fry for supper which is my daughter’s favourite.
Also preparing for an upcoming craft sale.
This morning after we have pancakes for breakfast we will be working out how our table will look for the sale.
We are sharing the table with my neighbour.
Four feet …. that is what we will have for space.
Well I had better get this show on the road.
What an awesome weekend.
The sky is overcast but perhaps the sun will shine at some point.
I hope that you all had a great weekend.
Happy Happy Sunday everyone…..
Time for coffee and to make pancakes and then back to the jewellery preparation.

Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday the 13th day of September, 2015.
It is a great morning here in Edmonton.
The skies were overcast but are now clearing as the morning progresses.
Today is an exciting day for me as this afternoon I will hold my very first tea party as an consultant for Steeped Tea.
My training party was in August and I have my leader, “C” with me so she did all of the work so today it is all me.
I have read over the training information.
I have read all about all the different kinds of teas.
The guest catalogues/order forms and pens are ready to go.
I have placed samples out and some of the other products that we sell.
My tea pots are ready to be used.
The teas have been chosen by the Hostess.
I have placed on the table some tea plates, tea cups and saucers and glasses.
In case you have not guessed I will “host” the party as far as the venue and dishes go and the hostess will bring over a treat for the guests. Nice and breezy easy for the hostess.
The house is pretty much clean.
Just the last minute sweep/vacuum the floor …. quick dust ….
I am excited and perhaps a little bit nervous.
There is so much information and I just want to do a great job.
Well I am going to enjoy my cup of coffee and get ready.
I am just going to wear a skirt and top so I will be comfortable getting ready now.
The only component I am a bit concerned about is Mr. Alvin ….
He knows a couple of the people so he will definitely be excited.
I did have a chat with him because I know that he will be wanting to visit and see everyone.
Hopefully he will bring it down a notch …. just friendly not FRIENDLY.
Oh, my boy.
Well I had better go.
I have a couple of things to do of course even though there are almost four hours until start time.
Wish me luck.
I know it will be a great tea parTEA.
Have a great Sunday everyone.
I will let you know how it goes.
Special Hello to: my Daughter who helps her Momma so much ….. thank you for the help with my Steeped Tea website.
Always, Carol and Alvin
