2021

Good Morning ALL! How are you doing this morning? We are doing great. Bed about 10:00 p.m., first time up at 4:00 a.m. and then again at almost 6:00 a.m. – feeling rested this morning. I hope that you had a good sleep as well. The sun is shining brightly this morning and I feel that it is going to be an awesome day. Today we get an estimate to replace our shingles. It will be a relief to have them replaced as they are in poor condition despite the age of them. They were not a good quality and were not properly affixed to the roof. Most of the folks in our neighbourhood have or are replacing them. Yesterday my kids changed their cell phone provider, one of those “visits” to the door kind of thing and then because something had to be done with my phone in person, my kids had to make an “emergency” trip to my house. They brought the pups. It was great to see them all. What a whirlwind of an evening. After supper I went for groceries as well. All is fixed now and the fridge is full once again. Wow, fruits and vegetables are sure expensive these days. Also a gal from work who placed a tea order a while back is coming for an outside visit and to pick up her tea. We will be walking after work as the shingle estimator is coming at noon. I am so happy to see the sun shining so brightly. My flowers are looking so pretty this morning. A warm day on the way, about +24 degrees celsius.

Now that was a paragraph jammed packed full of a mix of things. No rhyme or reason, just the way things spill out of my brain.

We are watching Cynder, Humphrey and Bogart this weekend while their Momma is taking a weekend trip. She deserves a break as she has been working so hard. I am excited to spend time with them. Might even bring the cats to our house.

Also before I forget. The night before last, I was having a craving for something sweet. So what happened next? I baked some cookies. No chocolate chips? Nope. I made using my base chocolate chip cookie recipe a new cookie blend. I made the most delectable cookies with “raisins and coconut.” Just happen to have lots of those sweet items on hand so that is what I used. The different chew between the raisins and the coconut” made them ultra chewy and mmmm good.

Time to get this show on the road. Get the coffee brewing (premade earlier this morning).

Wishing you a wonderful day. May you laugh and have so much joy this Thursday.

Continuing to live with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, gratitude always.

Always, Love Carol & Alvin

2021

Good Morning ALL! How are you on this Monday, May 10, 2021? Alvin and I are okay. Not the same waking up and feeling of yesterday. Alvin clearly is not feeling well. I am going to make him an appointment with the Vet as soon as they are opened. Hopefully can get him in this morning or at least today. He right ear appears to be bothering him and he has loose poop bordering on diarrhea which he has had for a couple of days now. Oh my poor boy! I wish him good health.

I just had to shut down my phone as it needed to do whatever it is that it does!

Well the morning sky started out overcast as the sun rose but it appears to be clearing up now. A bit of a breeze happening.

I hope that all the women and girls out there had a great Mother’s Day. Alvin and I went for a walk about 11:00 a.m. and on our way past our friend’s house, I noticed that she was in the garden so I called out to her. We stayed and chatted over the fence for several minutes catching up on the latest news in our lives. Sounded like she was having a Mother’s Day weekend. With the rain the weeds were growing like they had been fertilized. She has the most gorgeous daffodils blooming at this time. We continued on our walk and as we were passing Alvin’s best friend Teddy’s house, I heard his Dad calling out to us and inviting us in. After a visit along with tea and treats we were on our way. Unfortunately Alvin had eaten some of the pups food when we first arrived before it could be put up out of reach. They leave their pups food out all the time as Teddy grazes and Kobi, too actually. I hope that does not make things worse for Alvin. At home again, I started preparing different things for supper taking my time. The kids arrived at 4:00 p.m. just as supper was ready to put on the table. We took a few minutes to get settled and dish up. Always a blessing and so nice to see my kids and grand pups. Oh and I took a few minutes to feed Mr. Alvin his supper which was a bit early. We chatted throughout supper catching up on all our news. Even sharing stories of my youth which came up when I was speaking to my daughter about her baby clothes and such. About that I had placed most of those items in black garbage bags inside of rubbermaid containers which I should not have done. I did manage to get most of the chemical smell out of one load washed three times. We discussed about what to do with everything. Clearly as a Mom most things store most memories for me than my daughter. After supper we down to the basement and we looked at a few things which brought up some good memories for her. She remembered that she had been nervous about going to the babysitting course as she didn’t think that she had anything “cool” to wear and then I brought out an outfit that I had put away for some occasion which she loved. Actually that story made my day as I did not remember. I was thinking that perhaps it may be time to start writing down stories of my childhood and over the years for future generations.

Well it is time to get going here and pay some bills. Put on the coffee and set up my workstation once again. I will say that I think that I will pack up my work stuff every end of the work week, made me feel a break between work and home. Plus it looked like my kitchen, my house again and not work. No complaining as I love working from home. Just like to have my space.

My daughter heard that the rain helped with the wildfires and that they are now able to contain. Thank goodness.

May you have a wonderful Monday.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion and patience.

2021

Good Morning ALL! How are you this morning? Looks like Christmas outside or at least winter. Alvin and I are well. Yesterday morning when we got up the ground was bare and I raked the front lawn in the afternoon after our walk. This morning when we got up we have half a foot of snow covering the deck, the street, the lawn, rooftops and anywhere the snow could stick. Actually yesterday in the late afternoon when it was looking like a snowglobe outside and the wind was blowing …. Alvin had to go outside to pee …… when I opened the door, the snow blew into the house. The door was covered in wet sticky snow, the house was covered in snow, the lone broom that was standing against the back of the house was covered in wet sticky snow, my two wicker chairs that I had brought back out were completely covered in wet sticky snow, the trees were covered in wet sticky snow and even the doorknob was covered in wet sticky snow. I guess that I have painted a pretty thorough picture of how “sticky” the snow was as it clung to everything in sight. This morning the cars out front are covered in snow as well. Looks like there will be shovelling in my future and I just put away the shovels, argh. Oh well. It is spring in Western Canada and anything can happen with the weather. Just to give you an idea of the temperature on Friday it was plus 15 degrees celsius so a light jacket or sweater weather AND yesterday when we went for a walk in the early afternoon I wore a light jacket and was comfortable at 8 degrees celsius. I raked the front lawn about 3 p.m., I think it was, and I wore the same light jacket and it was windy and starting to cool down. My neighbor that share the front lawn with me … loves to feed the bunnies in the winter and the birds. So there was a massive amount of bird seed, bunny food and bunny poop covering most of her side (especially around her tree) and quite a lot on my side. I was careful and was wearing gloves when I scooped it all into a garbage bag along with the leaves that were covering the lawn. Every fall I rake and rake and rake until I can rake, no more. Usually I would say about 5-7 times. This past fall I raked several times and gave up because none of my neighbors were raking when the leaves fell off their tree(s) or not many of them. So throughout this spring as the snow melted there were leaves that freed themselves and blew around the hood in the wind. We have had a lot of wind this spring. Yesterday was windy as well. Guess what this afternoon is to be +4 degrees celsius so the snow will be melting. What an interesting last 24 hours. Poor Mr. Alvin was having quite the time last night. I told him to just pee in the snow. Poor guy.

Well yesterday I managed to get quite a lot of things knocked off my TO DO LIST. I got to try out my new Bissell Crosswave and it worked. I found that it used a lot of the cleaning liquid (water + cleanser). I filled to clean 350 square and only did the top of the stairs landings and the stairs and it was almost all gone. I cannot imagine that that space is 350 square feet in total. Anyway, the amount of hair that was in the water when I was done and cleaning out the machine was crazy. The water was dark so I know it was working. It was pretty easy to take apart and clean ….. now just putting it back together. I left the components out to dry on the counter as they have to be completely dry. The strangest thing just happened. Right in the middle of typing this post, the computer shut down as thought there was a power outage but the lights did not even flicker. Thankfully WordPress has autosave and I did not lose my whole post. WOW. I did lose some and I don’t remember what that was. So will just carry on. I think that I was about to mention that I decided to submit the tea order today, an executive decision. So I will do that this afternoon. I am also considering giving up selling the tea and Norwex. At this point in time, I would have to reactivate my NORWEX account and it is not worth it to me. I do not have any regular customers. The tea is another story. I love the tea so much but I have not had a “party” for a long time and was just selling to my regular customers and the odd new one. Sometimes I have had to place large orders myself just to keep active or maintain selling privileges. At the end of the day is it worth it? I am not sure. I would have to place an extra large order this time and I simply do not need that much product. So after six years this may be it. I guess time will tell. I do not have to make the decision at this moment. Life, right. Sometimes giving up things can be freeing as well.

Well after the seriousness of that last bit, it is time to sign off and go have a cleansing shower. I always feel differently after having a shower. Clears the cobwebs. Things have a way of working themselves out. I am giving these decision over to the Universe for guidance and will just go about my day. I want to bake a banana loaf this afternoon. Likely will be shovelling. Maybe if I remove some things off my plate it will clear the way for me to start writing more. Sometimes it is good to clean out your “closet” and if it does not “spark joy” as per Marie Kondo, then perhaps it is time to move it out of the closet. I think it may be time to do just that. I am feeling better already. Time to remove some old things and replace with new. Spring, time to grow!!

Wow, that was freeing and rejuvenating. Thank you for listening and helping this girl out.

I wish you a wonderful Sunday. Take care and I hope that you and your loved ones are in good health.

Perhaps this is the day that you “clear out your closets.”

I am feeling a lot lighter at this very moment, thank you.

Continuing to live with Kindness, RESPECT, Compassion and patience.

Always, Love Carol & Alvin

Second Half of the NEW YEAR – last quarter

Good Morning ALL,

I could see my breath outside earlier this morning. Looks like Mr. Alvin may have another ear infection as he was shaking his head lots earlier but seems to have stopped for the last few hours. Will keep an eye on him. We had a good Monday. One of my coworkers stopped by to pick up her Norwex order and stayed for tea. We social distanced. It was nice to see her as I do not work directly with her ….. it has been March since I saw her last. After she left I spent the next couple of hours or so cleaning up, rearranging the garage and then moving in the deck furniture. I also broke down a bunch of cardboard boxes. I had to enlist my neighbour to help with a couple of heavier deck pieces of furniture as I am realizing that I no longer have the strength of my youth. Humphrey wanted to come for a visit as it was his Mom who came to help me with the heavier items. So over he came for a visit.

Sometimes I like to see what happened on this day last year so here goes:

Hello, Welcome to Sunday the 13th day of October, 2019.

We had rain overnight but now the sky is beginning to clear.

Last year (2018) at Thanksgiving it was raining and I believe it turned to snow.

Argh, I surely don’t like to say that word before Halloween.

It would be so wonderful if it would remain “brown” until November.

Change of plans, Alvin’s friend Teddy is arriving this morning instead of for a sleepover.

He should arrive in 30 minutes or so.

Yesterday we had Humphrey over for a bit.

We enjoyed a beautiful walk but were sad to leave Humphrey here at home.

I decided to take my phone so that I could snap some photos and am happy that I did.

My family are planning to come for supper.

We are always happy to have them over.

Keeping this short this morning.

But I wanted to share some photos of our walk late yesterday afternoon.

It was so lovely.

I also raked the front lawn as it was covered with a thick blanket of leaves.

Also cleaned out the middle area that has stones as it was covered in leaves as well.

So many leaves.  I filled two big black garbage bags.

Alvin and Humphrey watched from the living room as I cleaned away.

Here are some of the shots from our walk yesterday.

In the park not too far from our house.

Alvin sniffing away.

The fountain still running.

Leaves covering most of the trees but so many different colours.

So beautiful.

One cute story to share from near the beginning of our walk yesterday.

We had just arrived at the park when a car slowed down and pulled over.

I realized it was some neighbours.

Mom and three small boys.

The boys were screaming with delight at the sight of Alvin.

The older boy was out of his seatbelt and trying to get his head out of the window.

Mom and I were trying to speak to each other but all I heard her say was “I can’t hear anything but ALVIN.”

The boys were all screaming his name.

It was at that exact second that I came to realize something.

“Alvin is a ROCK STAR.”

Everyone loves him.

Everyone knows his name.

The kids get so excited to see him and even some adults.

So I have a ROCK STAR living in the house.

Doesn’t get better than that ….

Unless he had the finances of a Rock Star …. but I am happy that he is so loved and adored.

Makes me proud.

Now I also realize something …. he does have that mindset of a celebrity.

Okay almost time for Teddy to arrive.

Time to get that coffee perking.

I need a cup.

Happy Sunday and if you are celebrating Thanksgiving on this day …..

Well Happy Thanksgiving to you.

I find it interesting that my life has not changed much from last year or the year before except perhaps the weather. Well time to head downstairs and put on the coffee. The sky appears to be clear as the sun begins to rise in the morning sky.

Continuing to live my life with love, kindness and respect.

I/We shall remain,

Always, Carol & Alvin

Living … One day at a time.

Good Morning and here we are at Tuesday morning.

Back to work.

Alvin and I had a good snuggle this morning.

Yesterday Humphrey joined us for the day.

I mailed my out of town Christmas Cards to British Columbia, points in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec and SWEDEN.

Mailed cards to virtually half of the Canadian Provinces.

On my way home from mailing the Christmas cards and actually quite close to home; out of nowhere I slipped and went down on one knee on the sidewalk.

I had been coming off the road onto the sidewalk.

I was so careful but I guess not quite careful enough.

Luckily everything being me and my phone were okay.

When I got home I checked and even though my coat and my pants covered my knees there was a big patch of skin gone.

It was sore but not super painful.

I was not home very long when the phone rang and it was Teddy’s Mom.

She was wondering what we were up to as they were thinking of going for a walk.

I told her about my spill and that strangely enough I was feeling kind of nauseas.

She said that they could walk over and if we wanted to join them on the walk home that would be great.

Always nice to see them and this time the baby was going to walk on her on.

She followed right beside her brother and walked all the way to our house.

Pretty impressive for a 14 week old pup.

She is so cute.

We had tea and a visit.

Before they left Teddy’s Mom who is a “Energy Healer” gave me a treatment.

She said that I had been blocked by old old energy and that the new experiences/new energy were not getting in because of the old stuff.

She told me that it felt like old paper.

As she worked on my knee, I could feel something leaving and just felt so energized.

My friend told me she could see it in my eyes and hear it in my voice that I was feeling better.

So out with the old and in with the new.

Feeling like a new person today.

We are all energy beings.

Everyone should try this …. so cool.

Just to note that after the treatment I could actually kneel and put weight directly on that knee.

Well it is almost time to head downstairs.

One thing that I must work on is my posture.

Also sitting.

The computer chair that I have is pretty hard for me to sit back fully in and comfortably type on the computer keyboard.

But I am going to work on sitting tall and properly.

Will help with the sometimes achy back that I have.

I am catching a ride with Humphrey’s Mom as my car pool is off today so that she can drive her husband to a medical appointment.

May you have an awesome Tuesday.

Surrounding yourself with love, kindness and respect.

Happy Tuesday.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Living … One day at a time.

Good Morning and it is the first day of time change for Alberta.

We turned the clocks back by one hour this morning.

Nice too have it bright at an earlier hour for sure.

Happy November.

Well time to share yesterday.

As I realized Friday evening when my daughter I erected the Christmas tree and turned on the lights that they would have to be replaced.

Last year I had “YouTube” to see what suggestions others had regarding this subject.

There was really nothing that I had not thought of so I grabbed my trusty tin/metal snips in the morning and set to work.

In between was working on the laundry.

I had checked the weather to see what the day would bring and there was rain in the afternoon forecast so I set the timer for one hour and at noon,

we headed out for a walk.

It was actually quite nice.

Upon arriving back at home I checked on the laundry once again before setting back to snipping the lights from the tree.

I worked on the lights for a total of over 7 hours between morning and afternoon.

You never really appreciate how much “lights” there are on a prelit Christmas tree but there are a great many.

It was a painstaking process.

Snipping the little holders and in some cases the electrical cords.

Yes, they were unplugged.

My hands were cut and my arms scratched.

I wore a sweater but then got hot so off and on.

I had to stand on the ladder to do the top and found my ankles and feet sore after a time.

My back was throbbing at the end of it all.

I am most grateful that it is done.

Poor Alvin was whining throughout the time.

He was verbalizing how I felt.

Once done, I stopped to have supper and of course before I ate, Mr. Alvin had his supper.

After supper and cleaning up, I spent a couple of hours putting on a couple of strings of lights and the decorations.

Once sitting back and relaxing having a cup of tea, I realized something was missing from the tree.

My box of ANGELS and berries and such.

I was too pooped to go and find the container.

Located it this morning and will finish that later today.

In about one hour I am going to have coffee with the young ones.

My young friends.

So enjoy catching up with them.

Well that was my weekend.

It was a test of patience which I failed miserably.

As Mr. Alvin can attest to ….

Well failed miserably is likely a tad to strong as I did have time where I just settled into the work listening to Christmas movies.

Life.

I am happy that my tree is up and mostly decorated.

Looks pretty good.

Sometimes it is the little things that can test your patience.

Yup, the little things.

Time to get this show on the road.

I have laundry to put away.

Then time to get out of pj’s and go out for coffee.

Am looking forward to the break.

Have an awesome Sunday.

Sending you much kindness and respect for your day.

Always, Carol & Al

I

Living … One day at a time.

Good Morning and Hello.

Welcome to Wednesday.

Mid week day.

Earlier this morning when I was outside with Alvin ….. there was tiny snowballs being hurled toward the ground.

Mother Nature at her best.

The grass crunched under my feet.

Lots of leaves covering the grass having blown in from the front and neighbouring yards.

Reminder for one last rake before we have snow cover.

Hopefully I have that opportunity this evening.

Well today is our off-site Staff Meeting.

Even though I do not like time away from my work; I really don’t mind the staff meeting.

There usually are a variety of topics and something guest speakers and the FOOD is great.

Nice to kick back and listen …. no phones …. no computers …..

Last night Alvin and I enjoyed our walk.

It was cold so we stopped by at Teddy’s house.

As always Teddy and his Mom were so EXCITED to see us and asked us to warm up and stay for tea.

Well Alvin did not have tea ….

He did have a treat …..

It was lovely to have an actual conversation with someone who would reply.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

I have never met anyone like Teddy’s Mom.

She is always over the moon happy to see us.

So welcoming.

Both Teddy’s parents are such wonderful people.

I am, we are blessed to call them friends.

One of my nephews called me last night.

We had such a great conversation.

Another reminder to call people.

I must get better about calling family and friends.

I am blessed to have a ride to the meeting with a co-worker and home.

A little birdie reached out and told me that there is going to be a parcel in the mailbox when I return home this evening.

Cannot imagine who that might have been / be.

Looks like this is going to be “our” lucky day.

It all started with me accidentally stepping on some poop in the backyard …. thankfully with my yard shoes.

Guess this means I need a stronger flashlight.

The one that I have is very small ….. like a keychain one.

Time for batteries …. note to self ….. put BATTERIES ON THE GROCERY LIST.

Yup, I will …. right now.

Done.

No more stepping on poop and then having to take 10 minutes to clean said shoes.

ARGH.

That is what happens when it is dark outside.

Another good reason to get batteries and rake the leaves.

Well time to put the finishing touches on before my ride arrives.

Alvin will have to go outside one last time.

Nice to be leaving later for a change.

Happy Happy Wednesday.

Reminder to myself …. always be KIND AND RESPECTFUL.

We may be kind, I may be kind  but watch on the respect.

It is easy to be less so.

But so import to be 100%.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Living … One day at a time.

Hello,

Beautiful bright sunny blue sky kind of morning.

Hallelujah, it is Friday.

How about some photos kind of Friday post?

I snapped these photos just before my carpool arrived yesterday morning.

The brilliant GREEN brings joy to my heart and soul.

In the 4th photo you can just see Alvin watching me out of the window as he always does.

I wave as I get into the car.

To say good-bye – see you later.

Last night was a busy night.

After arriving home from work – Alvin and I went to the Vet to pick up his food, toothpaste and some treats, of course.

Then supper.

Then Teddy and his Momma came …. his Momma had tea ….. his Momma left and Teddy is with us until Saturday evening.

First night last night of the sleepover.

Final big thing ….. I got my hair cut.

Wanting some radical ….. something different in recent years for me.

A version of Anne Hathaway’s short hair cut.

Look how much hair was chopped.

I am not great with selfies.

This morning it looks totally different.

Before I had a shower …. well let’s just say that both Alvin and Teddy were a little scared to look directly at me.

Last night the first two photos and then the remaining ones this morning.

Teddy loves to throw the pillows around.

I love where he ended up …. at the head of the bed.

Well that is it for me for Friday.

Almost time to leave for work.

One more time to take pups outside.

Have an awesome Friday.

I will get better taking photos of myself.

Maybe ….. giggling aloud.

This weekend is me and the boys.

Tomorrow Humphrey joins us ….

So excited to spend some time with Alvin and his friends – our friends.

Happy Friday.

Always, Carol & Alvin & Teddy

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 15th day of March, 2019.

Last night was so beautiful but not great for walking.

I went out into the back yard – actually on the deck to pick up poop from this morning.

Yup, I know, another poop story.

But this is cute.

Alvin climbed up onto the snowbank that takes up half of the deck to do his business.

Me, in my slip on shoes, decided to go up and pick up the poop.

Everything was going well ….. Alvin turned around and was waiting for me.

I picked up the poop and went to turn to come down …. when due to my weight …. went into the snow and my shoe came off.

Ended up with a shoe full of snow.

Yup, I was walking in the snowbank with one sock and one shoe on.

I delicately balanced a couple of bags of poop and grabbed my shoe that was buried in the snow.

Not impressed but I kept my cool and just laughed it off.

Because really what else are you going to do.

So that was my Alvin story.

Note to self:  wear boots when in a snow bank.

We received a phone call from Alvin’s best friend’s Mom last night.

She invited us over for supper and a visit.

We had already had supper when she called and we were not going to walk because of the ice and water.

So Teddy and his Momma came for a visit.

I love the way the boys greet each other with so much energy and joy.

You can feel that energy in the room.

AS soon as Alvin sees their car pull up ….. he starts to wag his tail and bark his HELLO..

Then he runs to the door.

Usually I peek out to see when they are coming up the walk and then I open the door.

Teddy running down the walk and Alvin running from the house.

Just like in the movies.

So cute.

They say hi and into the house.

Run about …. grabbing a chew treat along the way …..

Just makes you feel like a million dollars.

They bring us great joy.

Whether separate or together….

We had such a great visit.

I shared with her one of Steeped Tea’s newest blends, a Rooibos tea called LUSH LEMON.

Oh, it was so nice.

I have been enjoying it for the past few nights.

We laughed and almost cried a few times sharing more of our life’s stories.

I love getting to know people …. we all have such wonderful stories ….. if only someone would listen.

I love to listen and so does my friend …..

Hard to believe it will be four years on July 20th that we met.

Yup, it was July 20th, 2015.

WOW.

We talked about how memorable Mr. Alvin is and that everyone remembers his name and him.

At the end of this month it will be ten years since I moved to Edmonton and into my very first house.

My first house on my own …

It has been and is so very wonderful.

I am a lucky girl.

So today is Friday.

The start of the weekend after we put in the day unless you are lucky to be at the end of your shift or perhaps you took today off.

I am excited for the weekend.

Tomorrow Alvin has his first pedicure and regular appointment since his surgery.

We were at the Vet to have his stitches removed a few weeks back.

You cannot see that he had surgery at all.

I also have to hit the grocery store to pick up the ingredients for the FRUIT PIZZA which was requested as my daughter’s “birthday cake.”

We will have to decorate and they are coming on St. Patrick’s Day so I wonder how much green, I have ….. mmmmmm.

Green streamers?

I know that I have lime green ones, yes, somewhere.

Tidy up the house.

YAY, family coming on Sunday.

We are having PIZZA for supper and FRUIT PIZZA for dessert.

It will be a pizza party.

Well here we go again …. time to leave for work.

Be careful out there as there is lots of ice, most especially in the residential areas.

Have an awesome Friday.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day early.

Special Hello to: all of you ….. you make my life, awesome.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 28th day of December, 2018.

The SUN is shining brightly in the morning sky.

Today is the birthday of one of my friends and neighbours “S” ….. Happy Birthday.

Alvin and I had company last night.

Two of our friends “A” and “J” and her pup JAZMIN came for tea and a visit.

A had mentioned about stopping by last night after work and then J called to see if okay for her to stop by.

I said bring JAZMIN and she wasn’t sure.

JAZMIN is getting older and has a heart condition.

Alvin and Jaz get along quite well and he doesn’t get too excited when she arrives.

It is as if they know.

Anyway J & J arrived first and we visited and then A arrived a bit later.

J & J left for home first so it worked that we had visits separately with them and together.

So nice to see these ladies.

Yesterday afternoon Alvin and I went for a walk in between doing some laundry.

His paws were starting to get cold as we neared Teddy’s house.

Strange thing … just as I about to say we could stop for a minute their garage door opened and there was Teddy’s Dad “W.”

He spotted us and I mentioned about Alvin’s paws.

W said that he was just about to leave for an appointment but there was time for us to say hi and for Alvin to warm his paws.

Oh, Master Teddy was so excited to see us.

Always, always warms my heart to see him.

W also mentioned that we should stop by tomorrow (which is today) as J, sister of Teddy’s Mom is going to be visiting.

So we will likely on our walk this afternoon stop by for a bit and say hello.

So this time off from work has been filled with resting and relaxing and visiting.

I am going to put together a coffee date with two other friends for tomorrow morning.

Our friend “V” called from Regina yesterday.

These days have been filled with phone calls and visits.

The best kind of days off.

I am also thinking of perhaps taking down the decorations on Sunday.

Well I guess it is time to get dressed and get this day going.

These later nights and sleeping in ….. well I will have to get back into our routine before next Wednesday (back to work) or the 5:00 a.m. is going to be painful.

Will have to check around and see what project I can take on for a few hours.

Certainly has been wonderful having this time off.

We wish you a great day.

WOW, the 28th day of December, 2018 …. almost a New Year.

Special Hello to: all of those folks who have time off from work and are just resting and relaxing. DO NOT feel guilty.

Always, Carol & Alvin
