The New YEAR 2022

Good Morning ALL! Well it is Saturday morning. YAY. Light outside but the sky is not blue and the sun is not shining at the moment. I hope that all is well with you. We are doing well. Same old story with us. Up early early and then slept in. Oh, I have quite the life, I do.

I am so happy to have a long weekend ahead of us. I was thinking that perhaps we may get outside for a walk with all of the recent snow that is covering parts of the sidewalks and helping to make it more safe to walk.

I was also uploading photos from my phone to the computer and ran into a snag. Appears that they did not save. Man, technology sometimes can be a “pain in the butt.” It really can. Maybe it is me but maybe not. I know that my both my phone and especially my computer are getting older and technology is not something that gets better with age. Definitely not like us humans! I hope that both my phone and computer hang in there for a bit longer. Fingers crossed.

I was thinking of more television sitcoms that I watch and perhaps that I missed saying in yesterday’s post. Did I mention GHOSTS? I watched it last night. It is so funny. This is perhaps one of the best seasons for SITCOMS. There are so many and they are so good. There are so many that I do not watch. I watch enough television as it is and cannot fit more in, lol. Watching t.v. shows and movies is my source of entertainment. I do not travel or often even leave my neighbourhood so this is how I enjoy my spare time. I do write in my spare time but not enough. That book or books will never get written if I do not spend more time writing. I always come out of the gate hot and then after a short time, give up. Not sure why – there are likely a million reasons. But I will continue sharing with all of you, my life stories, some photos, perhaps some of wisdom that comes from age and whatever else I can think of. Isn’t that really what life is all about – sharing? I think so.

Wishing you a wonderful Saturday. I really need to have a shower and COFFEE.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love, laughter, understanding, gratitude, focus and possibilities.

2021

Good Morning ALL! How are you this Saturday morning? Alvin and I are fine and are moving slowly. Went to bed a little later than usual for us and then he of course, was up and down several times. Oh well, we have lots of hours in this day to accomplish what needs to be done. Sometimes you have to change your plan. We never know what will happen from hour to hour. That is our case. So up a little later than planned and that is okay. The sky is a brilliant blue this morning and the trees from my office window seem to be just ever so waving ever so gently. Over the earlier hours I viewed the beauty of the sunrise from the back door, from a lying position on the sofa and from my bed. At one point when Alvin had us up …. I noticed a light in the back and wanted to make that no one was doing something they should not be doing. When I was certain all was good, I went back to lay on the sofa only to find that Alvin had gone back upstairs. So that took a few minutes to sort out. Lay on the sofa or go back up to bed. Never a dull moment.

Yesterday I was able to go after work and pick up both a case of wet food and a bag of dry food for Mr. Alvin and of course the glucosamine replacement (Movoflex), I believe. Also while I was out I picked up some lottery tickets. Just felt like I should have some tickets. You cannot win if you do not have tickets. I would love to win some money ….. pay off the mortgage and perhaps be able to retire earlier than later. A gal can dream. Dreams are what got me to this point so why not. Our walk yesterday at noon was fantastic. It was so warm and dreamy …. felt like a summer day. Life. There are moments we love and cherish and others that we would love to toss into the garbage bin. But we cannot have one without the other. Hopefully more great ones for sure. I am looking forward to using my new Bissell Crosswave and I hope that it does what I need it to do. Time will tell.

Oh, I watched the new show with Katy Sagal as REBEL, the lead character and also John Corbett and Andy Garcia. It was great and I will definitely keep watching it. Something just a bit different from everything else on television. Which is great. Some of the other shows I am now watching are 9-1-1 (which has been on for a bit and I am late to the table, and love the characters), still watching the NCIS shows all three of them, back to THE VOICE after not watching a season or two, Bob Hearts Abishola, and a few others. If I listed all of the shows that I watch, you may think that all I do is watch television and while I watch quite a bit, it is not all I do. LOL.

Well I guess time to change the bedding and get dressed. There are bills to pay and a pup that appears to want me for something. My needy guy. I love him despite the fact that sometimes he drives me a bit off the deep end. But that can be said for any relationship, right! Oh well.

Continuing to live this life with respect, compassion, kindness and patience.

Always, Love Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 2nd day of December, 2014.

Only 23 days till Christmas Eve.

This morning as I was getting ready I realized that I was humming a multitude of different songs from Christmas movies and television shows.

The catchy ones ….

The Grinch

Frosty the Snowman

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

There are so many.

I think that some of the most “catchy” and recognizable songs and definitely ones that withstand the test of time are the movies made mainly for children.

The lyrics are rhythmic and so much fun …. ones that you hum all day long.

I must fit in some of those shows during this hectic holiday season.

Also I just remembered I must change my voicemail message ….

I always put on some Christmas music and play it in the background and then give my annual holiday greeting.

Yup …must do that……

Well I guess it is almost time to leave for work.

Seems like we just got home.

I hope that you have an amazing day.

If you have the chance listen to some of those classic songs …. and instantly a smile will appear on your face.

Special Hello to: lovers of all things Christmas….

Always, Carol and Alvin
