Welcome to Wednesday, January 16th, 2013 ……
Wow, I didn’t think that I would be saying this in the middle of January ….
But it is raining out at 6:30 in the morning ….. it has been melting all night.
Last night I went out front to check out the large pool of water collecting on the front sidewalk.
I could not believe how much it had melted.
I went to the back and got my trusty ice “pick” …. “shovel” …. “hoe” type of tool and proceeded to clear a pathway to the drain.
Oh my gosh, it was crazy how heavy and wet the snow was …. that much had melted.
It was like a spring day ….. anyway one of the neighbours from across the street had tried to park in her garage and with her car being low she got stuck … got out and then decided to park out front.
When she was turning the corner to park …. she got stuck in the water ….. snow ….. such a mix…..
Anyway I helped along with another neighbour to get her out …. she’s from Calgary and said this is just like Calgary weather except we have more snow.
It is almost unbelievable to have that happening in the middle of January.
Well time to go as I am running late…… I hope that all is well with you.
