Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday, March 14, 2019.

Another nice day yesterday and now we have lots of ice covering the sidewalks.

So our walk was a bit on the precarious side last night but we managed to walk.

Well today is Thursday.

Payday for lots of people.

Pay bills and wait for the next payday.

Isn’t that the way that it goes.

But for all those people who complain that after the bills are paid; they only have a few dollars left ….. you have a pay check and your bills are paid.

I think for some people complaining is a chronic habit.

Certainly can be an annoying habit.

I am grateful that I have a job, somedays it is frustrating and stressful.

But nonetheless, I am happy to have it.

I am grateful that I have money to pay my bills.

Wasn’t always the case.

I am grateful that I can work one job to make a living.

Okay and sell Steeped Tea and NORWEX  –  but you get the picture.

I am most grateful to live my life.

I am so grateful for my family and friends.

Okay, now it is time to leave for said job.

I hope that you enjoy the poem and have a wonderful Thursday.

Take a deep breathe and just do it.

You know that you can.

Sometimes you just need some poetry and I just happen to have some.

This is one of my favourites from my repertoire or better known as my notebook.

IN MY IMAGINATION

In my mind, there is a place

Where the sun shines all day

And it rains some nights

Where the tulips bloom to my delight

Where the water is crystal clear

And sparkles like diamonds in the sun

Where peace is not just a dream.

In my mind, there is a place

In my imagination

I found my dreams they all came true

I could touch the stars

And walk on the moon,  and then visit Mars.

In my mind, there is a place

In my imagination

I met you there on a sandy beach

When the sun was shining just before the rain

You took my hand, and you kissed my cheek

In my imagination.

In my imagination.

In my mind, there is a place

In my imagination

Somewhere that I can go

Kick off my shoes, walk in the sand

Meet you again in my imagination

Under the stars

In my imagination

Please remember to go

Meet me there

In my mind, there is a place.

Special Hello to: my sister …. love you my darling.

Thought for the day……

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday, January 31st, 2013.

WOW, was that January …. it seems like only yesterday that we were opening gifts on Christmas Eve.

Where does the time go?

It seems crazy to me that I am going to turn “56” this summer.

I remember starting Grade One at age six with my best friend, “Deanna”

I remember learning how to dance with my Grandma.

I remember discovering the “East Room” at my Grandparent’s house and all the lovely things it held.

I remember the winter we spent in McAllen, Texas.

I remember picking berries with my Mom & Sister when I was “14.”

I remember the tornado that came to town in August of 1979.

I remember the moment that my daughter was born.

I remember the summer that my siblings and our families celebrated what was to be our last time all together with our Mom.

I remember  flying to New York City to take a business course and while there visiting the World Trade Centre and taking in my first Broadway Musical “Les Miserables” ……

I remember how proud I was when my daughter graduated High School with Honours, entered University and then went on to become a photographer.

I remember my daughter’s wedding day.

I remember leaving Saskatchewan.

I remember the moment when I put the key in the door on my very first home and that was four years ago.

I now remember to remember and I have been so very blessed during my lifetime.

I did some cool things during my life thus far and have met some truly remarkable people.

I hope that you take the time to remember and are grateful for each moment.

Have a great day.

Special Hello to:  “truly remarkable people” ….. you are one.

Thank you.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day……

Well here we are on Wednesday, December 14th, 2011.

When Alvin and I went outside this morning ( 5:00 a.m. ) the warm air touched my face with a tenderness not expected on a mid December winter’s morning. As I waited for Mr. Alvin to do his morning ritual / constitutional or what have you …… I noticed that the sky was crystal clear …. the moon owned the sky with it’s magnificent presence, and the STARS well they were breath-taking.  Alvin and I were outside for at least ten minutes.  He was sniffing around and I was taking in the morning.  So beautiful.  What a glorious way to begin the day.

I am so blessed to live in such a great place.

I hope that you are able to enjoy such beauty as I.

Cheers to enjoying the day from that early morning start till bed-time and every glorious moment in between.

If you are so inclined and have the chance ….. look up ….. you never know what you might see.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.

Special Hello to:  all the people that have Christmas sounding names like: Carol, Noel, Holly, Christine, Mary, Merry, Christian …….

Always, Carol
