Thought for the day…..

Welcome to Thursday, May 17th, 2012.

OMG, what a gorgeous morning ….. with the rain last night the air smells so amazing.

That wee bit of rain just gave the grass and trees a drink of Mother Nature’s nectar that will nourish them and help them grow GREEN.

I love the morning air ….. feels so refreshing……

What is your favourite time of day?

I must admit that I also love the evenings.

The sunsets, the moon and the stars making their appearances.

It is so amazing that because of how the Universe works …. we have day and then night.

Sunshine, and then the moon and the stars.

It is all so cool, amazing, awesome and so interesting.

One thing I have always dreamed of was going into outer space, not necessarily as an astronaut but just as a traveller.

So in my dreams I go to those places in my imagination.

We are so blessed to have different times of the day.

I am so blessed to be able to enjoy them all.

I hope that on this day that you will take a few moments to just stand still or sit down for a moment to enjoy all that is offered to us on a daily basis.

Have a fantastic day.

I am wishing for some rain so that I can see those wonderful rainbows, another one of nature’s wonders.

Special Hello:  to all those morning folks out there enjoying a cup of coffee on their patio or decks….

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day…..

How many times have you just missed a great opportunity?

How did that make you feel?

Did you feel upset because it cost you?

Did you feel mad at yourself for not keeping on top of things?

Did you feel wronged by the universe?

Did you play the “blame game”?

Did you feel lucky that you in fact had an opportunity?

Did you feel blessed that because you know in your heart that there is something WAY better on it’s way to you?

Did you feel joy and love, just because that is your way?

I know that I have felt all of those “emotions” at one point or other.

Lately it has been perhaps a bit more.

But even though I have those moments which might even stretch to minutes or hours ….

I find my way back to love, joy and gratitude.

Because I know and have a deep seeded faith that everything will work out for the best.

Sometimes it might take a bit longer to get there because you throw up those roadblocks of self-pity and negativity.

So if you find yourself on this Friday or any other day …. in a less than perfect situation where an opportunity has passed you by …

simply “surround yourself with love”.

Love can “your favourite music, pet, friends, family, flowers …. or anything really.  Just something that makes you feel GREAT.

Love will fill your heart and keep you on track.

So for this Friday, July the 8th of 2011 ….. with my Alvin squeaking to be lifted to look out of the office window …. I

bid you all a fond farewell…..

Happy Friday everyone and have a SPECTACULAR weekend.

Always, Carol

What will he do next?

Today the sun came out after a couple of days filled with clouds and rain.  I am grateful for the rain as we needed the moisture but am EXCITED about the sunshine.  I always feel so much better when the sun shines.

Okay, back to the reason for this story.  I had taken a few minutes away from the kitchen to check my e-mail.  Of course, Al (AKA Alvin) followed me upstairs to the office.  Oh, by the way as his name is so close to my grand-puppy Elton’s name, I decided to shorten Alvin to AL.  He seems like an AL.  I will reserve the right to call him AL VINNNNNNN when the need arises.

In the office (sitting at the computer) ….. he was patient for a few minutes and then started “biting and nipping”  at my pants, feet, the computer chair.  That is always the sign to shut off the computer and go downstairs.  I put it out there to the UNIVERSE, I WISH THAT YOU COULD TALK AL, and LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU NEED TO GO OUTSIDE.  PERHAPS A GENTLE NUDGE with his PAW ON MY LEG .  A girl can dream, right !!!

So of course, I turned off the computer a few minutes later.  LOL. No, I am NOT THE PACK LEADER.  I have no illusions at all!!   LOL

When downstairs, I opened the back door but Al didn’t wish to go out.  So I decided to watch a bit of television.  After about two minutes, actually more like twenty seconds …… guess who was back for attention,or something.  But this time, he came up to me and put his paw gently on my leg and gave me this look.  No biting.  No nipping.  No pulling off of Mom’s pants.   I was flabbergasted.  So I took him outside (he actually had to pee) 🙂

The moral of this story is:  when you think that no one is listening.  Think again!
