2021

Good Morning ALL! I hope that this finds you well and enjoying this Saturday, June 5, 2021. Alvin and I are up and at it. He has already had breakfast, I am washed up (still in pjs for the moment), bed made, laundry gathered and writing this post. I am hoping to get out shortly and get a walk in before it rains. Rain in the forecast for today. This seems like a great opportunity to work on my photos on the computer and on my phone. I was attempting to download my recent photos from my phone to the computer but alas it downloaded older photos which are already on my computer. Not quite sure about what is going on but I am going to delete and clean up both my phone and computer. Figure out what is already on my computer and delete them permanently from my phone. Why oh why is it so difficult to delete photos from your phone or anywhere really. Most times we have a billion of the same shot. Even the ones that are out of focus are sometimes hard to depart with. Do I have a problem? Or is this what some of you are experiencing as well? Can you let me know? I know that I have a problem, somewhat. Even back in the days of film and printing them (which by the way we don’t do much anymore, or is it just me?), I had a hard time throwing out the shots that were totally black. Anyway, I am working on this issue and luckily with technology those days are gone. We can take multiple shots in the moment and usually have at least one that is good for our collections. My collections. OH my goodness. I have over 39,000 on the computer which is down as I have been slowly going through them. I also pay a company to backup my photos so why do I keep them all? Not sure. I have almost 3,000, I believe on my phone. Which is another story. Most of those photos are on my computer which is backed up by yes, that company. I also paid extra for room on the cloud. Something about not being able to see although the company that backs them up, I can access and see them. I have to figure things out as clearly there is a pattern here, lol. Perhaps if I was more comfortable with technology and could trust in it, I would be able to let go. I have that song from FROZEN in my ….. Let it Go, Let it Go …… I say that often in my life. Oh well. My issues for the moment. Shortly I will be dressed and we will be walking out the door. I am looking forward to spending the day looking at photos. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday. Also doing laundry ….

I hope that you are doing well. Time to get this show on the road. We want to walk before the rain hits.

Have a splendid Saturday. Trying to use some new words as typically we use the same adjective and adverbs over and over and over again.

Continuing to live this life with kindness, respect, compassion, patience, love and gratitude each and every day.

Happy Saturday.

Always, Love Carol & Alvin

Now that is a view on a rainy day……

Second Half of the Year

Good Morning,

Before I get started I would like to send Birthday Wishes to two of my friends.

My friend Carolyn, I have known her since High School and

Our friend Iris, meeting her after I moved to Edmonton.

Both wonderful people and great friends.

We are halfway into a beautiful Sunday morning.

Alvin and I have been up to stay up for about two hours now.

We went for a nice walk.

Not too many people out and about until about halfway through our walk.

We saw our friend “Sadie” who was out with her Dad usually we see her with her Mom or Sister.

I love Sadie, she is a white/yellow lab and reminds me of my grandpup Miss Aspen.

So lovely and kind.

The air is so fresh that I had to make a promise to both Alvin and myself that we would always go for a morning stroll.

I think it is the nicest time of the day.

Not too hot or cold.

Usually quiet.

A good time for reflection.

I snapped some photos when we arrived home of our backyard which is our happy place.

They are still loading.

I guess my poor computer is telling me that I MUST get through those almost 40,000 photos and delete the ones that we do not need.

It is one of those jobs that is overwhelming.

But as I tell Alvin when he has problems crossing the doorway …. put one paw/foot in front of the other and soon you will be walking cross the floor.

I remember that line from a song, I think.

Alvin does not really enjoy walking on the laminate floor.

Looks like I will have to do a separate post with the photos as they continue to load.

I do wish to report that I am well into Chapter ONE of my book.

Writing is coming easily and I am happy for that.

Likely there will be several edits but I am on the way.

Well time to go and have breakfast.

I started about a week ago, actually a week ago today to fast for at least 15 hours between my night meal and morning meal.

I have noticed that I am feeling better.

So that is a good thing.

I can hear the computer working to save the photos.

Just wished that they would finish loading soon.

It has been awhile.

Also my dear computer is getting older as far as computers go.

I appreciate her every single day and hope that she will work for me forever.

The coffee has been ready for a few minutes and I do not think that I can wait any longer.

I apologize.

I need COFFEE.

When you sit and smell that delectable aroma wafting from the main floor to upstairs …. it is almost mind bending.

I need COFFEE.

Okay, perhaps a bit over the top but I do love a good cup or two of coffee.

Likely should be enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck in this beautiful weather.

Okay I am going to go and have that coffee, some toast and fruit and will post the photos later.

I have laundry to bring up from the basement and wash the main floor.

Also I want to trim the paws of my boy (now that is a big job).

Be kind and respectful of all around you including yourself.

Enjoy each moment the good with the not so good.

Take time to smell the roses.

Even Mr. Alvin was stopped to smell them this morning.

Yes, he loves roses.

I wish you the best Sunday.

May your day be filled with great joy, much love and laughter, feeling great and abundance.

Happy Sunday.

I/We shall remain,

As Always, Carol & Mr. Alvin
