Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 13th day of September, 2018.

Well we have snow on the ground that has not melted.

Yesterday it pretty much was a wet snow rain mix all day long.

Some places to the north had snow that was sticking in the morning yesterday but we wait until today.

The leaves in my neighbourhood are all latching on for dear life.

It was likely a surprise to the flowers in my front and back gardens when they were hit with that white stuff.

Meaning snow.

I have not looked at my sunflowers who were standing tall and proud.

They too are likely thinking …..”Mother Nature, what is going on here, winter before fall?”

Each snowflake has latched onto another and are covering each blade of grass.

Poor grass ….. covered in snow.

The grass as well as most of our trees was still green.

I think that there were a hand full of leaves on my tree that were yellow.

We noticed on the way to work – well actually downtown in what would be an older area the big, big trees were already yellow and had shed their leaves as the ground and street below was covered in a

yellow blanket.

I said to my carpool yesterday “Oh how I wished that I would have my camera with me.”

Those beautiful big trees formed a canopy over the street ahead of us.

Their leaves were gorgeous shades of yellows and oranges.

Delicate but sturdy.

That was the street that was covered in a yellow blanket.

What a photo ….. but I have it locked in my memory banks to bring forward whenever I wish.

This weather is to be hanging around for a few days and then next week is to be mid teens.

Bye bye snow.

I hope that all of the plants survive the snow.

As I do not think it is time to sleep just yet.

Alvin was not really happy about the snow this morning.

He hesitated for awhile before going out.

He was careful walking on the snow as he lifted each paw and placed it carefully as he walked out onto the deck, down the steps and onto the snow-covered grass.

Well time to go and start getting ready.

Winter or at least this weather …. you need shoes …. zip up coat …. mini gloves and perhaps a scarf.

ARGH.

But then again Halloween and Christmas are just around the corner.

This was Mr. Alvin trying out his new look for Halloween.

He thinks he should go as a Mr. Alvin the Vampire.

What do you think?

Such cuteness.

In the last photo – which was one of the first ones that I took, I forgot to turn off the FLASH.

My poor boy.

He had this chew treat that was outside and got wet and soft.

Which makes for good vampire teeth of sorts.

Using imagination.
