Second Half of the NEW YEAR – last quarter

Good Morning All. Another Monday here we go. Today is the 12th Wedding Anniversary of a very special couple to me. Happy Anniversary to my daughter and son-in-law. I cannot believe that it has been twelve years already. Their October 19th, 2008 wedding day was sunny and nice for most of the day. Once the sun went down it cooled off dramatically and later it rained. But we were lucky to have photos done outside during the day and at sunset with no moisture. I am so proud of these two for all that they have accomplished and all that they do in their lives. They are good human beings that are kind and respectful and compassionate. Happy Anniversary to you both.

I woke up yesterday with the sniffles, bit of sore throat and sneezing and the odd cough. Just running nose and sneezing now. We postponed our gals coffee get together yesterday until next weekend. I plan other than walks with Alvin to stay away from people for the week. Better to be safe than sorry. We had a quiet day at home just putzing about. I did prepare and wrap a parcel to mail for my sister and my friend back in Regina for Christmas. So will mail that in a few weeks ….. but ready to go. Another item checked off the list.

Happy that the snow that has been falling is melting as it hits the ground. Our temperatures have been below zero but not terribly cold unless you are walking into the wind.

It is dark out now so I cannot see what is going on in the sky. It is also getting onto time that I need to head downstairs and put on the coffee and start work shortly.

12 sleeps until Halloween and 13 until the Tree goes up !!!

I hope that you are well and safe. Perhaps you had a giggle already this morning. May you have the best Monday ever.

Mr. Alvin is whining so perhaps he has to go outside. So better sign off for now.

Living our lives with love, kindness and respect is the only way.

I/We shall remain,

As Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 1st day of October, 2018.

Dark outside as the season settles in with no chance of sunrise at this time of day until late spring – early summer.

Woke to a tiny bit of wet on the deck and on the sidewalk this morning.

We enjoyed our walk yesterday afternoon after the coffee party.

The leaves were various shades of green, yellow, orange and red.

Our tree in the front is all yellow and has started to drop leaves.

If a wind comes up I am quite certain they will be all on the ground.

I have held off raking as there are currently more on the tree than on the ground.

I do love to rake the leaves and jump through them.

Just a note my snapdragons have survived another weekend.

They are the colours of fall: yellows, corals, peaches and pinks.

We had a great weekend.

Walked and had company.

I think that Alvin misses Teddy.

Yesterday one of the girls hosted the coffee party.

Her parents are visiting from Newfoundland.

So nice to see them once again.

My friend, her daughter and parents attended the Paul McCartney Concert last night in Edmonton.

I was just a slight green with envy.

Lucky guys.

We started to plan our Christmas party.

Christmas ….. it seems so far away but yet it is not.

Well today begins a new month.

My daughter and son-in-law’s ten year wedding anniversary this month.

Grand-pups birthday this month.

Thanksgiving and Halloween.

Lots of birthdays.

I hope that you all have a great Monday.

May your day be filled with wonder and fulfillment of dreams.

May your day be filled with love and kindness.

May you lead the way with love and kindness.

Happy Monday.

Special Hello to:  my sister, how are you?  SKYPE?

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 20th day of October, 2017.

Well I am in the proverbial “dog house” although Alvin lives in my house, so I guess that really does not work.

Anyway yesterday was the 9th Wedding Anniversary of my kids.

My beloved daughter and son-in-law.

How could I have been so wrapped up in my “great Wednesday” that I forgot their special day.

My daughter said graciously “not to worry” and I know that she sincerely means it but still I feel like “BAD MOMMA.”

Cannot imagine if I had more than one child.

Odd thing is that I remembered on Monday (guess I should have made a sticky note) or PERHAPS looked to the right of my computer screen to the BIRTHDAY/ANNIVERSARY calendar hanging there.

I would have seen it …..

But no, I did not.

Happy Belated 9th Anniversary to the best Daughter and Son-in-law, a Momma could ever have ….

They make me so proud.

Good and kind and compassionate people, they are.

I am so happy that “S” joined our family 17 years ago, he is a great addition.

Thank you for joining this rag tag group of people.

Both Alvin and I send hugs and kisses to you both.

Well here we go again, time to leave to catch that bus.

Better run …. er, walk real fast.

Special Hello to: all those folks who are celebrating time together ….. Congratulations.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day…..

Wow, it is Friday, October 19th, 2012 and today marks the 4th year wedding anniversary of my daughter and her husband.

I want to wish them all the best of everything on this day, and in the years to follow.

May they continue to grow and blossom in their relationship.

May good health, great joy, love, laughter, abundance and wealth catch up with them and be with them all the days of their lives.

Alvin and I have the best family;  their love and support guides us and protects us, and keeps us warm in our hearts each and every day.

Cheers my darlings ….. you deserve always the very best that life has to offer ……

Love Momma and Alvin ….

You might wonder what happened to me yesterday and why I am writing this so late in the morning but I actually took a couple of days vacation.

I do work tonight at the store but I really do not consider it work.  I love the store ….. the smells and the people….. most especially the people.

Yesterday I did housework and had a pleasant surprise when my daughter stopped by with a Starbucks pumpkin spice coffee and the offer to go out shopping.

So I took a break from the house and laundry and we went out for a bit.

We stopped by our favourite neighbourhood store “Upperlane Living”  …… they have such wonderful items.

Then after groceries she dropped me off at home to continue my day.

Alvin and I had a lovely walk.  The weather has been absolutely gorgeous.

Looks like another one today.

Well the garage is calling my name.  Have to finish putting things in order.

Then the basement (have to pull out the Christmas stuff) and get organized.  Less than two weeks till operation “DECORATE FOR CHRISTMAS.”

I am so grateful to have these days off and to be at home.

I moved a lamp, end tables and changed the look of my living room.

I absolutely love my house ….. it is so beautiful, and I am so grateful that I have been blessed to live here, and call it my own.

Wow, what a great day.

Also I want to wish my cousin “B” a speedy recovery ….. I am thinking of you my dear.

I want to wish everyone an awesome day ……

Just remember to smile, feel good positive energy flow through your mind and body ….. live your life the best that you can …

Be the best that you can.

Take care …… have a great weekend.

Special Hello to:  YOU ALL  ……

Always, Carol and Alvin
