Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday the 27th day of March, 2014.

How are you?  I am great.

Last day to work at the office this week …..

Working at the store tomorrow night and Sunday, YAY.

Guess what more snow overnight!

I shovelled after work ….. the driveway, the deck and out front.

Good exercise, though.

Mother Nature always throws a few things at us during spring.

I guess it is her way of making us grateful for the beautiful weather once summer arrives.

Oh well, it is okay.

I am grateful it is only snow and we are prepared.

 

During my almost 1.5 hours of being out of bed – I have been thinking about things – life.

I guess the number one thing that has been crossing my mind once or twice during the past few weeks is this?

Am I doing what I am passionate about?  How about you?

Do I love what I am doing?  Are you sure?

I do know the answer.  Do you?

But I have been spinning my wheels trying to figure out how to change things around …..

Sometimes we get caught in a rut doing things because we “think” we do not have a choice.

We do have choices but then there are the bills ….. sometimes it always seems to come back to the money angle.

The job pays for a roof over your head, lights and heat and food in your belly.

So sometimes we end up doing things that we are okay with but are not really passionate about.

I hope that if you have been or are in this situation that you would share any thoughts you may be thinking.

I know as I crossed that bridge to the second half of the century …. I want to do things that make me happy.

Doing things that constantly stress you out …. that is not living your best life.

Well almost time to leave for work …..

Food for thought.

I am so blessed because so many aspects of my life are truly great ….. writing this blog …… making jewellery with my daughter ….. working at BBW …. and so much more.

I guess I may be a bit greedy ….. I want 100% JOYFUL.

Thought for the day….

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday, the 24th day of October, 2013.

What would appear to be on most everyone’s radar these days is money.

It would seem by comments from most people these days that everyone is looking for ways to make extra cash.

So, I am offering the question.

How do people go about making extra money?

What if you work full-time but it isn’t quite enough?

What if you want to do something from home?

So other than getting a part-time job which by the way I know so many folks who are working both full and part time jobs.

What do you do?

Perhaps you are passionate about something and could offer lessons about your craft?

Perhaps you could make things and sell them?

Maybe you are an excellent baker and could sell your baked goods.

There are lots of ideas out there.

How do we go about helping people find a way to make extra cash without having to leave their homes?

Is there a way to make money from writing a blog?

Perhaps you can write song lyrics?

So where do you start?

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday the 4th day of September, 2013.

Another gorgeous sunny day here in Edmonton.

This is one of the first times ever that I am kind of blocked.

Not sure what to say.

It is so strange – usually I do not have a problem writing something.

So I guess that means this will be short.

Please forgive me ….

Part of it comes from I can smell the freshly brewed coffee and I am dying for a cup and the other is due to my daughter is over for a visit and we are going to work on our jewellery and watch a webinar (think that is what they are called).

So I will go for now.

I am so grateful to you all for reading my blog and making the number grow weekly.

Thought for the day…..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday, the 26th day of July 2013.

How are you this slightly cooler, overcast morning …. well at least that is my reality this Friday morning.

How much are your feelings and moods driven by the weather?

If it is sunny, are you automatically happy and glad?

If it is rainy and windy, are you feeling a bit sad or not quite happy?

Or does it even matter to you?

Some of us folks definitely feel the changes in the weather.

I do love the rain but when it is overcast and raining for days I can feel my usual happy energetic self drift away and replaced by one that is a bit moody, and definitely less energy.

The sun does provide us with energy and that natural boost.

I can see the sun through the clouds so it will shine today.

I hope that whatever your weather you are feeling good.

I have found that when the sun doesn’t shine if I take the time to just focus on positive energy it helps.

Also Vitamin D …. which reminds me I am out and should get some.

I have enclosed a photo of a “rainbow” I have in my living room whenever the sun shines through my living room window.

ENJOY…… a bit of sunshine and colour is always nice …..

Rainbows in my House

As we walk along the water’s edge the coolness leaves my skin with goose bumps and prickles, as if there is someone behind me.

Alvin pulls on his leash and brings me back, the fragrance of freshly cut grass fills my nostrils; my heart beat quickens and I am unable to shake the feeling.
