Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 1st day of August, 2017.

Guess it is time to turn the page on the calendar and the countdown has really begun.

August 1st here we go.

Just a few sleeps now until vacation and my sister arrives.

The sunrise was amazing this morning.

The sky was filled with yellows, oranges and pinks all mottled together.

Now the sky has filled with deep blue clouds, perhaps rain?

Last night on our walk we saw our friend “P” out in her beautiful garden.

She invited us in or rather Alvin strong pawed his way inside.

He loves her and always checks as we walk by to see if she is in the yard.

Mr. Alvin was happy to see her and even more happy when she gave him some treats.

We had a lovely visit and were joined by one of her neighbours that I have met before ……

She had brought over “cherries” that she grows here in Alberta.

I did not believe her.

Cherries in Alberta.

But I guess why not.

Not quite the same as B.C. cherries as they are more red and a bit tart.

But delicious.

In honour of my birthday (because P spilled the beans) – she went back to her house and grabbed me a container of cherries.

She always brought back some raspberries that she had grown for P but somehow I managed to get them.

Lucky girl.

Well after a wonderful visit, more treats for Alvin and some plants later …. we were home.

It was 7:00 p.m. ( we had left the house at 5:40 p.m.) – late supper.

My friends both have beautiful flowers and gardens.

Lucky me.

I was proud to tell P of how well the flowers are doing that she had given me a few months ago.

Time to get this show on the road.

Work call….

Special Hello to: friends ….. Love you all ……

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday the 29th day of September, 2015.

Happy Birthday to “S”…. a co-worker of mine.

It is dark outside but no surprise as it is that time of year.

The days have been lovely.

With warm temperatures and sunny skies (for the most part).

I am feeling so much better today …. not sure what happened yesterday.

I believe that Mr. Alvin was happy that I was at home with him yesterday.

He enjoyed sitting outside on our deck for some time yesterday afternoon.

Officially has been fall for a few days now.

The trees are an array of warm inviting colours: yellows, oranges and reds.

So beautiful.

Funny as many of our flowers are still blooming as well.

I always am amazed at how quickly the mornings go after you arise.

Here it is almost time once again to leave for the office.

This morning I am catching a ride with my neighbour as I am taking “cupcakes” for our birthday celebration.

We take turns and I had the last birthday ……

Oh, glorious fall …….

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Enjoy these days …..

Special Hello to: my friends back in Regina who are publishing cookbooks and making beautiful art.

Always, Carol and Alvin
