Thought for the day ….

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 9th day of February, 2018.

Happy 41st Birthday to my eldest nephew “T.”

Hard to believe that you are 41 years old, where has the time gone?

Crazy ….

So happy that today is Friday and that I made it through this first week back to work after being sick.

Tomorrow is Mr. Alvin’s appointment.

The one that was post phoned from last Saturday.

He has to get his shots, nails trimmed, “bum squeezed” and I think that is about it.

Will be good to get those things caught up.

I do take him on a very regular basis.

Also this weekend I am hosting a belated 40 Birthday party for my friend.

It was supposed to have been last weekend, as well.

I am baking a cake tonight.

The party will be on Sunday.

Decorations, I want to come up with some new ideas.

Perhaps I should check out Pinterest.

Have the card and gift to finish wrapping.

Well I am also most happy about this …. the weather.

It is warming up one again.

Thank goodness.

Spring is also getting closer.

Well I guess I should get this show on the road.

I hope that you have an amazing day.

Oh, one more thing to share.

I met a young woman yesterday who gave me back my faith in humanity.

I cannot give details but suffice to say …. I have faith once again.

Not that I lost it altogether but it was failing.

Special Hello to: the birthday boy.

Always, Carol & Alvin

Thought for the Day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Monday the 16th day of January, 2017.

Our weather feels like spring ….. a reprieve from the deep freeze of the past couple of weeks.

So grateful.

Yesterday Alvin and I enjoyed yet another wonderful extra long walk.

Sun shine ….. so great.

There was a bit of a breeze.

I have not had the “creative feeling” for making jewellery in a long while and when it started to flow yesterday; well I sat right down, and started to make some new pieces.

At one point Mr. Alvin jumped up on the sofa (had to be beside me) and stuck his head in a bowl filled with coloured beads.

(Normally I do not sit on the sofa and make jewellery but the coffee table made the perfect spot to set my things).

When he brought his nose out along came several small seed beads.

There were seed beads flying through the air and all over the floor.

It was so funny … I could not be mad.

I don’t think he inhaled any as he did not sneeze or appear out of sorts afterward.

It was definitely a sight for sure.

It is always nice to be creative.

I love to write, make jewellery and from time to time do craft projects.

Nothing better than creating something.

That was my Sunday …… exercise, laughter and a creative mindset.

Also I received a surprise phone call from one of my friends back home.

It was so great to catch up with her.

P.S. Forgot to mention I found out where the missing bus shelter went, did I mention that “my” bus shelter went missing.

Apparently a young woman took it out with her car.

They have replaced it with an old one but something is better than nothing (especially when it is windy or snowing).

Happy Monday Everyone.

Special Hello to: all those people in the world who like to make things.

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day …..

Good Morning and Welcome to Friday the 25th day of March, 2016.

A short while ago when I looked out of my bedroom window it looked like we were in a shaken snow globe.

Now it appears to have stopped.

There is a fine sheet of snow covering the ground.

Mother Nature is trying to get that last bit of snow out before spring gets into full swing.

We need the moisture.

Well the house is quiet this morning as it was yesterday.

I did not notice it quite as much, as I was busy getting ready to go to work.

Soon my baby boy and my girl will be here.

My daughter is coming for a pancake breakfast and a visit.

Time for Alvin to come home.

I look forward to our visits and treasure them always.

Perhaps Elton will come as well ……

I had the most unusual dream last night and actually remember some of it.

There was this young woman not a child had come to see me, suitcase in hand.

She said she was here to stay with me.

Apparently we had made arrangements for her to rent my guest room.

My mind raced as I could not remember this girl or the plan, and I had currently had use of the room.

I can almost see her face.

It was so strange because as quickly as I did not bring her face to mind, I did somehow remember her.

It was very very odd.

We even sat down and had a cup of tea ( always have to be a good hostess ).

I guess this could mean a lot of different things ….

Perhaps something I had mentioned during the day would have spurred this dream ….

Or maybe something that is going to happen …. who knows.

Time will tell.

I guess now that I have been all spruced up (showered) and have the laundry collected and have written my blog …. time to get the laundry started and start preparing our breakfast.

We do not have a set set time as I do not wish to rush her ….. lucky thing for pancakes you can keep them warm and toasty in the oven ….. that is why I chose them.

Have a Happy Friday ……

This is a four day weekend for me and I am grateful to have some extra time at home.

Special Hello to: my sister ….. I will SKYPE you at 6:30 p.m. Sunday night ….

Always, Carol and Alvin

Thought for the day….

Well here we are at Tuesday, September 11th, 2012.

Today marks the 25th birthday of  my co-worker “A” …. a bubbly young woman who has the world by the tail.

Happy Birthday and I wish you all the best in the year to come.

Also today is the day that the World Trade Centres came down.

My thoughts go out to the families of those lost on that tragic day.

I visited the WTC back in 1994 and it was one of those memories I shall treasure forever.

It was on a business trip and one of the companies that we dealt with were housed in one of the towers.

So on this day let us remember to be kind and respectful of others no matter their colour or religion.

If you are truly happy with yourself …. you will be happy to the rest of the planet.

One more thing, when I was driving to work on Sunday the car in front of me …. threw a can out of the window.

The vehicle was from out of province and out of country.

I wished that everyone would respect our environment and keep their garbage inside the vehicle until they get home or to a place to throw it away properly.

Also the danger factor …. if the wind or something might have blown it into my windshield.

Another good reason not to follow too close.  Which I was a good distance behind.

Well time to run here.

I wish you all a great day.

Be aware …. live your life …..

Special Hello: to all of my friends and family all over the world.

Always, Carol and Alvin
